On the Formal Integrability Problem for Planar Differential Systems

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2013
We study the analytic integrability problem through the formal integrability problem and we show its connection, in some cases, with the existence of invariant analytic (sometimes algebraic) curves. From the results obtained, we consider some families of

Algebraic Entropy for lattice equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
We give the basic definition of algebraic entropy for lattice equations. The entropy is a canonical measure of the complexity of the dynamics they define.

Nonautonomous Hamiltonian Systems and Morales-Ramis Theory I. The Case $\ddot{x}=f(x,t)$

open access: yes, 2012
In this paper we present an approach towards the comprehensive analysis of the non-integrability of differential equations in the form $\ddot x=f(x,t)$ which is analogous to Hamiltonian systems with 1+1/2 degree of freedom.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

The The 1:-1:1 Resonance Integrable Problem for a Cubic Lotka-Volterra Systems.

open access: yesZanco Journal of Pure and Applied Sciences, 2019
This paper is devoted to investigate the integrability and linearizability problems around a singular point at the origin of a cubic three-dimensional Lotka-Volterra differential system with -resonance.

Global integrability of cosmological scalar fields

open access: yes, 2008
We investigate the Liouvillian integrability of Hamiltonian systems describing a universe filled with a scalar field (possibly complex). The tool used is the differential Galois group approach, as introduced by Morales-Ruiz and Ramis.

A methionine‐lined active site governs carbocation stabilization and product specificity in a bacterial terpene synthase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

On the Complete Integrability of Nonlinear Dynamical Systems on Discrete Manifolds within the Gradient-Holonomic Approach

open access: yes, 2011
A gradient-holonomic approach for the Lax type integrability analysis of differentialdiscrete dynamical systems is devised. The asymptotical solutions to the related Lax equation are studied, the related gradient identity is stated.
