Boundary conditions for integrable quantum systems

Journal of Physics A: Mathematical and General, 1988
A new class of boundary conditions is described for quantum systems integrable by means of the quantum inverse scattering (R-matrix) method. The method proposed allows the author to treat open quantum chains with appropriate boundary terms in the Hamiltonian.

Boundary conditions of Feynman path integrals

Nuclear Physics, 1966
Abstract Feynman path integral expressions for transition matrix elements between bare vacua are derived for scalar and spinor fields. Proper boundary conditions are used to avoid the usual somewhat artificial iϵ prescriptions of previous authors.

Second-order boundary value problems with integral boundary conditions

Nonlinear Analysis: Theory, Methods & Applications, 2009
The author studies the existence of positive solutions of the solutions of the second-order boundary value problem \[ y'' = f(t, y(t)), \quad 0 < t < 1, \] \[ y(0) - ay'(0) = \int_0^1 \! g_0(s) y(s) \, ds, \] \[ y(1) - by'(1) = \int_0^1 \! g_1(s) y(s) \, ds, \] where \(f:[0, 1] \times \mathbb{R} \to \mathbb{R}\) and \(g_0, g_1 : [0, 1] \to [0, +\infty)\

Fractional order boundary value problem with integral boundary conditions involving Pettis integral

Acta Mathematica Scientia, 2011
Abstract In this article, we investigate the existence of Pseudo solutions for some fractional order boundary value problem with integral boundary conditions in the Banach space of continuous function equipped with its weak topology. The class of such problems constitute a very interesting and important class of problems.

Boundary conditions in an integral approach to scattering

Journal of the Optical Society of America A, 2006
Scattering of electromagnetic radiation by an object of arbitrary shape or a structured surface, infinite in extent, is considered. When radiation is incident on an interface separating vacuum from a material medium, a current density is induced in the bulk and a surface current density may appear on the boundary surface.

Boundary Integral Formulations for the Monotone Multivalued Contact Boundary Conditions

1992
Let Ω be an open bounded5 subset of the three-dimensional Euclidean space ℝ3 with a boundary Γ (a Lipschitz boundary is sufficient). Ω is occupied by a linear elastic body in its undeformed state and we refer it to a Cartesian orthogonal coordinate system Ox 1 x 2 x 3.
