Voluntary brigades work on integrated fire management in conservation units

open access: yesBiodiversidade Brasileira, 2020
In a current reality where environmental conservation has been related to the well-being of society as a whole and understood as an individual responsibility, voluntary work in wildfire prevention and control in protected areas is becoming more and more important.

Learnable Diffusion Framework for Mouse V1 Neural Decoding

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We introduce Sensorium‐Viz, a diffusion‐based framework for reconstructing high‐fidelity visual stimuli from mouse primary visual cortex activity. By integrating a novel spatial embedding module with a Diffusion Transformer (DiT) and a synthetic‐response augmentation strategy, our model outperforms state‐of‐the‐art fMRI‐based baselines, enabling robust

3D Large‐Scale Subwavelength‐Resolution Sound Sheet Tomography Based on an Active and Programmable Circular Meta‐Array

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A programmable 2048‐element circular ultrasound array combined with a compact acoustic lens produces a thin “sound sheet” over a large field of view, and records echoes with wide angular diversity across the ring aperture. Coherence‐enhanced beamforming converts full‐matrix data into high‐contrast tomographic slices, delivering near‐diffraction‐limited

Persistently Increased Expression of PKMzeta and Unbiased Gene Expression Profiles Identify Hippocampal Molecular Traces of a Long‐Term Active Place Avoidance Memory and “Shadow” Proteins

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Protein complexes like KIBRA‐PKMζ are crucial for maintaining memories, forming month‐long protein traces in memory‐tagged neurons, but conventional RNA‐seq analysis fails to detect their transcript changes, leaving memory molecules undetected in the shadows of abundantly‐expressed genes.

Fabrication of High‐Density Multimodal Neural Probes Based on Heterogeneously Integrated CMOS

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A chiplet‐based methodology democratizes active neural probe development on standard bulk CMOS services. This yields the first probe combining high‐density electrophysiology (416 electrodes) with calcium imaging (832 photodiodes) and complete on‐chip signal processing across 13 shanks.

Integrated fire management concepts for promoting and stabilizing resilient ecosystems

open access: yesBiodiversidade Brasileira, 2020
Fire is a transforming and modeling element of natural environments, used by humans as a management tool for thousands of years. Its controlled use is indicated, and has been defended by specialists, for the borders of protected areas with native vegetation under anthropic pressure.
