Superconducting Integrated Terahertz Spectrometers

IEEE Transactions on Terahertz Science and Technology, 2015
A superconducting integrated receiver (SIR) comprises all of the elements needed for heterodyne detection on a single chip. Light weight and low power consumption combined with nearly quantum-limited sensitivity and a wide tuning range of the superconducting local oscillator make the SIR a perfect candidate for many practical applications.

AN INTEGRATED ULTRASONIC CORRELATION SPECTROMETER

AIP Conference Proceedings, 2008
A novel architecture for a low voltage ultrasonic data acquisition system is described. The system is appropriate for process monitoring in hazardous environments with potential fire or explosion hazards, where limits are imposed on the working voltage levels of equipment.

Miniaturized spectrometers using integrated optics

SPIE Proceedings, 2017
In this work, two different integrated-optics based spectrometer designs are presented. The first one is called interleaved arrayed waveguide grating (AWG) spectrometer provides large bandwidth (i.e. 30 nm) and high resolution (i.e. 0.1 nm) for a compact size (i.e. 2.4 cm × 3 cm).

MERTIS: a highly integrated IR imaging spectrometer

SPIE Proceedings, 2006
With a background of several instrument developments in the past the German Aerospace Center in Berlin proposed for ESA's deep space mission BepiColombo an imaging spectrometer which meets the challenges of limited technical resources and a very special operational environment.

High-Resolution Integrated Spectrometers in Silicon-Oxynitride

CLEO:2011 - Laser Applications to Photonic Applications, 2011
Arrayed waveguide grating spectrometers operating around 800 nm and 1300 nm are demonstrated, with the highest resolution (0.16 nm) and largest free spectral range (77 nm) achieved in silicon-oxynitride technology to date.

INTEGRAL Spectrometer Thermal Balance Test

SAE Technical Paper Series, 2000
<div class="htmlview paragraph">This paper describes the thermal balance test which has been performed on the spectrometer SPI Structural and Thermal Model (INTEGRAL project) from August 27th to September 17th 1999. Main SPI modes have been simulated in order to qualify the instrument thermal control.&

Planar integrated plasmonic mid-IR spectrometer

SPIE Proceedings, 2011
The convergence of silicon photonics and infrared plasmonics allows compact, chip-scale spectral sensors. We report on the development of a compact mid-IR spectrometer based on a broad-band IR source, dielectric waveguides, a transformer to convert between waveguide modes and surface plasmon polaritons (SPP), an interaction region where analyte ...

A time-delayed integration spectrometer

Measurement Science and Technology, 2002
A novel instrument is presented for measuring low-light near-infrared spectra of moving samples (such as objects on a conveyor belt). The spectrometer collects light from the sample as it travels along the conveyor, tracking it electronically using time-delayed integration.

Miniaturised, Planar, Integrated Bragg Grating Spectrometer

2019 Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics Europe & European Quantum Electronics Conference (CLEO/Europe-EQEC), 2019
We present a new, direct laser-written integrated Bragg grating spectrometer, with large bandwidth due to the large blaze angle of the grating. Integrated cost-effective solutions to spectral monitoring are highly desirable for both quick and portable measurements in the lab and miniaturised rugged interrogation systems. Blazed, chirped, Bragg gratings
