Miniature Integrated Spectrometer Array

We describe the design and set-up an array of micro-spectrometers for parallel sensing. The approach utilizes a prism – grating combination to obtain a linear light path and to achieve a high packing density. This yields 2’000 micro spectrometers of 6 mm length only when working with a 4/3” CCD image sensor.

A time-delayed integration spectrometer

A novel instrument is presented for measuring low-light near-infrared spectra of moving samples (such as objects on a conveyor belt). The spectrometer collects light from the sample as it travels along the conveyor, tracking it electronically using time-delayed integration.

An Integrated Optical Spectrometer for WDM

Wavelength division multiplexed (WDM) systems have several channels of different wavelengths in the 1550 nm wavelength band. Implementation of WDM systems requires demultiplexers to separate the different wavelengths. Compact, low loss demultiplexers can be realized using integrated optical spectrometers.
