Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

A novel output transformer based highly linear RF-DAC architecture [PDF]
A major limitation of the linearity of Current Steering (CS) RF-DACs is the large output voltage swing (typically 1Vpp), which couples to sensitive internal nodes and thereby causes non-linear distortion.

Single-Stage Single-Switch curved air gap PFC integrated flyback transformer design
This paper introduces a novel design for a power factor correction (PFC) integrated flyback transformer, which aims to enhance line harmonic current and common-mode noise reduction. The design includes two stages, a PFC stage with two boost inductors and

Model transformations and tool integration [PDF]
Model transformations are increasingly recognised as being of significant importance to many areas of software development and integration. Recent attention on model transformations has particularly focused on the OMGs Queries/Views/Transformations (QVT) Request for Proposals (RFP).

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

Integration of Silicon-Carbide Schottky Diodes with High-Frequency Transformer
This paper presents a novel and compact structure of integrated silicon-carbide (SiC) Schottky diodes with highfrequency (HF) transformer. A prototype HF transformer in the shape that is similar to a tokamak is designed for the integration with SiC ...

Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

pH‐mediated activation of the lysosomal arginine sensor SLC38A9
Cells monitor nutrient levels via the lysosomal transporter SLC38A9 to activate the mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1). This study reveals that SLC38A9 function is regulated by pH. We identified histidine 544 as a critical pH sensor that undergoes conformational changes to control amino acid efflux from lysosomes; therefore, it ...
