Integrating adult attachment scales and vulnerability factors in depression

open access: yesInternational Journal of Personality Psychology, 2016
The factorial structure of a combined set of items about adult attachment orientation and depressive personality vulnerabilities was examined. By employing exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis in two nonclinical samples (N = 661, N = 528), a six ...

Determining Sustainable Development Density using the Urban Carrying Capacity Assessment System [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
Diverse urban problems in the capital region of Korea occur due to over-development and over-concentration which exceed the region’s carrying capacity.

Function‐driven design of a surrogate interleukin‐2 receptor ligand

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Interleukin (IL)‐2 signaling can be achieved and precisely fine‐tuned through the affinity, distance, and orientation of the heterodimeric receptors with their ligands. We designed a biased IL‐2 surrogate ligand that selectively promotes effector T and natural killer cell activation and differentiation. Interleukin (IL) receptors play a pivotal role in

Agent-based modeling and integration of system dynamics simulation approaches [PDF]

open access: yesمهندسی و مدیریت ساخت, 2020
On the one hand, the amount of productivity in construction projects is influenced by different factors with continuous behavior over time, and on the other hand, by the interaction and interaction between the human resources present in the project.

Inverse Problems for multiple invariant curves [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Planar polynomial vector fields which admit invariant algebraic curves, Darboux integrating factors or Darboux first integrals are of special interest.

The newfound relationship between extrachromosomal DNAs and excised signal circles

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Extrachromosomal DNAs (ecDNAs) contribute to the progression of many human cancers. In addition, circular DNA by‐products of V(D)J recombination, excised signal circles (ESCs), have roles in cancer progression but have largely been overlooked. In this Review, we explore the roles of ecDNAs and ESCs in cancer development, and highlight why these ...

Integrating socio-demographic factors for equitable resilience in networked-urban infrastructure systems

open access: yesnpj Urban Sustainability
While resilience assessments have begun considering equity, many fail to account for the nuanced impacts of infrastructure disruptions on sub-populations.

An upstream open reading frame regulates expression of the mitochondrial protein Slm35 and mitophagy flux

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

The SOX11 transcription factor is a critical regulator of basal-like breast cancer growth, invasion, and basal-like gene expression. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Basal-like breast cancers (BLBCs) are aggressive breast cancers associated with poor survival. Defining the key drivers of BLBC growth will allow identification of molecules for targeted therapy.
