A taxonomy of microservice integration techniques
Context: Microservices have become an important architectural style for building robust and scalable software systems. A system's functionality is split into independent units, the microservices, that communicate over a network and can be deployed independently.

This study analyzes gut bacteria in cholangiocarcinoma patients, revealing distinct microbial signatures that enable accurate disease detection. Species‐based diagnostic models achieved over 98% accuracy in identifying cholangiocarcinoma and distinguished it from other liver diseases. The research demonstrates that specific beneficial bacteria suppress

Integrative taxonomy reveals hidden species within a common fungal parasite of ladybirds
Our understanding of fungal diversity is far from complete. Species descriptions generally focus on morphological features, but this approach may underestimate true diversity.

Bioenergy Cropping Reduces the Spatiotemporal Scaling of Soil Bacterial Biodiversity
Consistent with patterns observed in plant and animal communities, soil bacterial communities exhibit significant species–time–area and phylogenetic–time–area relationships independent of nested structure. Bioenergy cropping significantly reduces the spatiotemporal scaling rates, particularly in sandy loam soils.

Proton FLASH Exposure Preserves Gut Commensal Microbiomes and Spares Intestinal Stem Cells
This study highlights the role of Proton FLASH abdominal irradiation in sparing of intestinal stem cells and preservation of key gut microbial population resulting minimization of radiation toxicity in intestinal epithelium in mice. Our findings support the potential of Proton FLASH to improve the therapeutic ratio for abdominal radiation exposure ...

Integrative taxonomy in trophodynamic studies
Copepods are the main prey for small pelagic fishes. Despite their commercial importance, little is known about the predator-prey interactions and their role in the trophic web dynamics. Traditional characterization of copepods is achieved through microscopy, with the inherent caveats of cryptic species misidentification and lack of specificity for ...

Grancalcin (GCA), a myeloid‐derived protein, is enriched in gingival tissues of periodontitis patients and mouse models. Through interactions with CD44 and activation of MYH9, GCA promotes NF‐κB signaling and exacerbates periodontal inflammation and bone loss.
