ZW4864‐mediated inhibition of the β‐catenin/BCL9/BCL9L complex reveals therapeutic potential in bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
BCL9 and BCL9L drive bladder cancer progression by enhancing β‐catenin signaling, promoting proliferation, migration, invasion, and organoid growth. Genetic depletion of BCL9(L) suppresses malignant phenotypes, while pharmacological disruption of the β‐catenin/BCL9(L) complex with ZW4864 inhibits canonical Wnt signaling and tumor‐associated cellular ...

Safety Integrity Problems Reviews of Rail Transit Vehicle System

open access: yes机车电传动, 2015
Aiming to the deviations and mistakes of the standardization and system of RAMS had been carried out comprehensively in the field of rail transportation, and the problems of some systems excessive pursuit of so-called security intergrity, the risk ...

Nuclear pore links Fob1‐dependent rDNA damage relocation to lifespan control

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Damaged rDNA accumulates at a specific perinuclear interface that couples nucleolar escape with nuclear envelope association. Nuclear pores at this site help inhibit Fob1‐induced rDNA instability. This spatial organization of damage handling supports a functional link between nuclear architecture, rDNA stability, and replicative lifespan in yeast.

White matter integrity, substance use, and risk taking in adolescence [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
White matter (WM) development is important for efficient communication between brain regions and higher order neurocognitive functioning. Adolescents have a higher propensity for engaging in risky behaviors such as substance misuse and delinquent acts ...

A light‐triggered Time‐Resolved X‐ray Solution Scattering (TR‐XSS) workflow with application to protein conformational dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

SYSTEM ARCHITECTURE-BASED DESIGN METHODOLOGY FOR MONITORING THE GROUND-BASED AUGMENTATION SYSTEM: CATEGORY I – INTEGRITY RISK DOI 10.5028/jatm.2012.04025611

open access: yesJournal of Aerospace Technology and Management, 2012
This paper has described a method to accomplish the Ground-Based Augmentation System signal-in-space integrity risk monitoring for a ground station specified by ICAO, Annex 10, Vol.1 and RTCA DO-245-A, wich is a mandatory requirement to meet the ...

The integrity of the corticospinal tract and corpus callosum, and the risk of ALS: univariable and multivariable Mendelian randomization

open access: yesScientific Reports
Studies suggest that amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) compromises the integrity of white matter fiber tracts, primarily affecting motor fibers. However, it remains uncertain whether the integrity of these fibers influences the risk of ALS.

CCUS wellbore integrity risk assessment and management based on game theory combination weighting-DHHFLOWLAD

open access: yesPetroleum
In response to the increasing risk of well integrity failure during carbon dioxide capture, utilization and storage (CCUS), a multi-index evaluation and recommendation model based on the game theory combination-authority-DHHFLOWLAD was proposed to ...

Applicability of mitotic figure counting by deep learning: a development and pan‐cancer validation study

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
In this study, we developed a deep learning method for mitotic figure counting in H&E‐stained whole‐slide images and evaluated its prognostic impact in 13 external validation cohorts from seven different cancer types. Patients with more mitotic figures per mm2 had significantly worse patient outcome in all the studied cancer types except colorectal ...
