Collagen‐Based Gut‐on‐Chip for In Vitro Modeling of Intestinal Barrier Function and Host‐Pathogen Interactions

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
A collagen‐based gut‐on‐chip model replicates the intestinal extracellular matrix, supporting villi‐like structures, tight junctions, and mucin production. This biomimetic platform enables rapid epithelial differentiation and functional barrier formation.

PRMT1‐Mediated LDHA Methylation Drives STAT3 Lactylation to Orchestrate Intestinal Inflammation and Tumorigenesis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies an immunometabolic axis wherein SAM‐driven PRMT1 methylates LDHA, enhancing its activity. The resultant lactate induces STAT3 K709 lactylation, which stabilizes an active conformation to promote STAT3 phosphorylation and IL‐10 expression.

Femtosecond‐Laser‐Induced Physical Unclonable Random Maze Structure for Storage‐Free Encryption

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Femtosecond‐laser‐induced gold random maze structures serve as multimodal physical unclonable functions for storage‐free encryption. Their stochastic optical, electrical, and Raman responses are generated by plasmon‐assisted Marangoni formation and converted into AES‐compatible keys without permanent secret‐key storage, offering a portable route toward

Intentional breach of contract and its impact on remedies for contract breach

open access: yesFaṣlnāmah-i Pizhūhish-i Huqūq-i Khuṣūṣī, 2019
Breach of contract may occur by the fault of party in breach. There is a variety of degrees in contractual fault and the highest degree of fault is intentional one. The breach of contract is considered to be intentional when the party in breach calculates the financial costs and benefits of the breach and then decides not to perform his/her contractual

Lesion Site‐Targeted Microspheres Modulate Nav1.7‐Related Signaling for Osteoarthritis Treatment

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Cartilage‐targeted carbamazepine‐loaded WYRGRL‐modified composite microspheres (CBZ/WCOM) anchor to exposed type II collagen in osteoarthritic lesions and release carbamazepine under acidic conditions. This bind‐then‐release platform modulates Nav1.7‐related sodium signaling, Na⁺/Ca²⁺ exchanger‐associated Ca2+ dynamics, and heat shock protein 70 ...

Microplastics‐Induced Gut Microbiota Dysbiosis Accelerates Alzheimer's‐Like Pathology and Cognitive Decline via the Gut–Brain Axis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Microplastics (MPs) breach the gut‐brain axis by triggering taurine‐depleting microbiota dysbiosis that accelerates Alzheimer‐like pathology in 5XFAD mice. Taurine supplementation normalizes autophagy, microglial quiescence, and cognition, and plasma taurine inversely tracks cognitive decline in ADNI participants, revealing a readily translatable ...

The Impact of Perceived Privacy Breach on Smartphone User Attitudes and Intention to Terminate the Relationship with the Mobile Carrier

open access: yesCommunications of the Association for Information Systems, 2014
The fast growing adoption of smartphones has accentuated the importance of privacy in the context of mobile computing. While most research has focused on general privacy concerns and their impact on intentions to disclose personal information, little is known about how perceptions of a privacy breach affect ongoing relationships between users and ...
