Traffic Models for Inter-Vehicle Communications

2006 2nd International Conference on Information & Communication Technologies, 2006
Today, vehicles are widespread and traffic is increasing. Therefore road safety is a major problem. To solve traffic problems, special attention is given to develop systems that can reduce the number and severity of road events. Additionally, the spread of wireless communication and mobile devices creates self-organizing networks, which are ad-hoc ...

Establishing Inter-vehicle communication using simulation tools

2021 11th International Conference on Cloud Computing, Data Science & Engineering (Confluence), 2021
Since ages, the realm of communication networks has had a lot of advancements which has made it a lot easier to communicate in today’s day and age. One such network enhancement can be seen in VANETs which help vehicles to communicate with each other and find optimal solutions for today’s real-world problems such as traffic woes, accident scares, etc ...

Improved GPSR in Inter-vehicle Communication

2010 International Conference on Communications and Mobile Computing, 2010
After analyzing GPSR under traffic scenarios, we find its poor performance dues to extremely uneven distribution of vehicles. Considering the characteristics of the traffic scenario, we propose Improved GPSR using an electronic map. The simulation results show that Improved GPSR performs better than GPSR on Packet Delivery Ratio.
