A Method of Whole-Network Adjustment for Clock Offset Based on Satellite-Ground and Inter-Satellite Link Observations

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2022
The inter-satellite link is an important technology to improve the accuracy of clock offset measurement and prediction for BeiDou Navigation Satellite System (BDS). At present, BDS measures clock offsets of invisible satellite mainly through the “one-hop”

Enhancing protein contact map prediction accuracy via ensembles of inter-residue distance predictors

open access: yes, 2022
Protein contact maps capture coevolutionary interactions between amino acid residue pairs that are spatially within certain proximity threshold. Predicted contact maps are used in many protein related problems that include drug design, protein design ...

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Estimation and Regularization Techniques for Regression Models with Multidimensional Prediction Functions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Boosting is one of the most important methods for fitting regression models and building prediction rules from high-dimensional data. A notable feature of boosting is that the technique has a built-in mechanism for shrinking coefficient estimates and

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.
