Multiple interactions: An empirically suggested model

Theoretical Population Biology, 1982
Abstract A modified version of Schoener's non-linear competition model is presented. The model describes the competitive dynamics of two species competing for a common resource. A second resource made available by species 1 for the exclusive use of species 2 is also present.

Performance analysis of interacting multiple model algorithm

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1999
Abstract A new non-simulation method for performance analysis of Interacting Multiple Model Algorithm is proposed. Firstly, how input-interaction effects model-conditional estimation is analyzed. Four conclusions are made qualitatively. Besides this, the compression ratio of model-conditional error is defined.

Detecting abandoned objects using interacting multiple models

SPIE Proceedings, 2015
In recent years, the wide use of video surveillance systems has caused an enormous increase in the amount of data that has to be stored, monitored, and processed. As a consequence, it is crucial to support human operators with automated surveillance applications.

Inequality and access to elite universities in China: reexamining the interacting multiple capitals model

, 2020
Using the first wave data from the Beijing College Students Panel Survey, this study provides an alternative explanation of the effect of social status on access to elite universities in China. We modify and extend the interacting multiple capitals model

AUV positioning based on interactive multiple model

OCEANS'10 IEEE SYDNEY, 2010
The research topic of autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) has attracted much attention over years since they provide marine researchers easy ways to access the ocean for surveying and site investigation, etc. To accomplish these applications, an AUV has to know its position accurately. Therefore, AUV localization is very important problem.

Asymptotic variances for the multiplicative interaction model

Journal of Applied Statistics, 1991
When modelling two-way analysis of variance interactions by a multiplicative term-[Formula] asymptotic variances and covariances are derived for the parameters p, yi and Sj using maximum likelihood theory. The asymptotic framework is defined by a2/K where K is the number of observations per combination of the two factors and a2 the common variance of ...

Dialog Modeling for Multiple Devices and Multiple Interaction Modalities

2007
Today a large variety of mobile interaction devices such as PDAs and mobile phones enforce the development of a wide range of user interfaces for each platform. The complexity even grows, when multiple interaction devices are used to perform the same task and when different modalities have to be supported. We introduce a new dialog model for the ...

Synthetic seismicity models of multiple interacting faults

Journal of Geophysical Research: Solid Earth, 1995
A synthetic seismicity model for multiple, interacting faults, of any strike and dip in a three‐dimensional elastic half‐space has been developed. The ultimate purpose is to determine how hazard is modified by elastic interactions of events in complex fault systems and to examine the synthetic seismicity for unusual behavior before large events that ...
