COFs on MOFs: Layer‐by‐Layer Synthesis of MOF@COF Nanoparticles with Synergistic Adsorption
A layer‐by‐layer strategy enables the growth of crystalline covalent organic framework (COF) shells on metal–organic framework nanoparticles, creating core–shell structures with tunable porosity. Ordered interstitial mesopores are formed during shell growth, which are connected with the COF's intrinsic micropores, thereby enhancing water sorption. This

Dexime: A Selectively Enzyme‐Degradable Hydrogel for Protein Therapeutic Release
A dextrin‐oxime hydrogel (dexime) is produced using ketone or aldehyde modified dextrin and tetra‐oxyamine modified poly(ethylene glycol). The rheological and mechanical properties of dexime are tunable. Dexime is injectable, cytocompatible, hydrolytically stable, and selectively degradable by α‐amylase.

Canopy interception loss in a pure oriental beech (Fagus orientalis Lipsky) stand during the summer season [PDF]
At forest ecosystems, gross rainfall (GR) is partitioned into throughfall (TF), stemflow (SF) and results in canopy interception loss (CIL). In the present research, CIL, which is considered a major component of the water balance, was measured at the ...

The energetic offset between the donor and the acceptor components in organic photoactive layers is central to the tradeoff between photovoltage and photocurrent losses. This Perspective covers the most important issues surrounding this topic in non‐fullerene acceptor blends, from the difficulty of accurately determining state energies and driving ...

We address the inherently weak particle adhesion of conventional air filters by coating a dynamically crosslinked adhesive layer that delivers capillarity‐driven strong adhesion and particle absorption mediated by dynamic bond exchange. The resulting enhancement in particle adhesion enables efficient ultrafast (up to 20 m s−1) and omnidirectional ...

A simulation of rainfall interception in a pine forest [PDF]
The water budget of forests is an important topic in hydrology today. A major factor in this water budget is interception loss, that is the loss by evaporation of intercepted water.

Giant Orbital Rashba–Edelstein Effect in Crystalline Cu2O/Cu Heterostructures
An enhanced orbital Rashba–Edelstein effect is demonstrated in a crystalline Cu2O/Cu heterostructure, compared to naturally oxidized CuOx structures, highlighting the critical role of crystallinity and interface control in orbital torque generation. The resulting spin torque conductivity exceeds that of Pt, indicating the potential of orbital torque ...
