Abstract In this paper, a semi-analytical method to calculate intercore crosstalk (ICXT) in bent and twisted multicore fibers (MCFs) is proposed. The modified refractive index of bent MCF is first computed using geometrically exact beam theory (GEBT) and conformal mapping technique.
