ABSTRACT Breast cancer is still a serious problem in the world arena, where its early and prompt detection is the most important factor in improving patient prognosis and survival. The use of traditional diagnostic techniques, such as imaging (e.g., mammography and ultrasound) and subsequent histopathological examination, is the mainstay, which ...

Satellite Mapping of the Moulin Distribution Across the Entire Greenland Ice Sheet
Abstract Moulins drain meltwater from the surface of the Greenland Ice Sheet (GrIS), affecting subglacial hydrology. However, the moulin distribution across the entire GrIS remains unclear. Using 10‐m Sentinel‐2 imagery from the summer of 2019, we manually mapped GrIS‐wide major moulins, excluding undetectable minor moulins.

CO2 Detection Using Potentiometric Sensors Based on PIM‐1/DES Membranes
The developed sensor offers high reproducibility, fast response, and reliable detection of variable CO2 levels. ABSTRACT Polymers of Intrinsic Microporosity (PIMs) are a class of polymers characterized by a native microporous network resulting in a high surface area. PIMs also display a highly tunable and efficient gas permeability, attracting a lot of

The Bitter Taste of Brazil's Temporary Import Ban on Robusta Coffee
ABSTRACT Brazil, a leading Robusta coffee producer and exporter, faced a significant drought in 2016–2017, which drastically reduced production and depleted stocks. Consequently, Brazil temporarily permitted the import of one million 60‐kg bags of Robusta coffee in the spring 2017. An import ban was imposed shortly afterward due to lobbying by domestic

Active reactance in electro‐thermal memristors emerges intrinsically from rapid thermal switching of device resistance, linking current‐controlled and voltage‐controlled negative differential resistance to neuronal spiking dynamics. Opposing temperature coefficients of resistance give rise to active inductive or capacitive responses, enabling tunable ...
