The objective of this chapter is to illuminate the role of interest in knowledge acquisition. In this chapter, we make a distinction between situational interest and individual interest and explain how both are related to knowledge. We will argue that the relations between these three concepts are at the heart of the education endeavor.

Proceedings of the 6th workshop on Eye gaze in intelligent human machine interaction: gaze in multimodal interaction, 2013This paper presents a probabilistic framework to model the gaze generative process when a user is browsing a content consisting of multiple regions.
