Macro-Mesoscopic Failure Mechanism Based on a Direct Shear Test of a Cemented Sand and Gravel Layer
In order to explore the influence of different layer treatment methods on the macro- and meso-mechanical properties of cemented sand and gravel (CSG), in this paper, the shear behavior of CSG material was simulated by a three-dimensional particle flow ...

In this work, a magnetic core‐shell catalyst (HOF‐on‐Fe3O4/ZIF‐67) is successfully synthesized, consisting of a metal–organic framework (ZIF‐67) with magnetic Fe3O4 as the core and a porous hydrogen‐bonded organic framework (HOF) as the shell. The catalyst efficiently activated peroxymonosulfate, resulting in rapid and effective removal of water ...

Laser damage on double-layer system interface
The paper considers the issue of pulse laser heating of double-layer system in which the first layer is transparent relative to the actuating flow and the second is a highly lossy one. Temperature profiles of heating double-layer system at different lengths of actuating pulse have been obtained by the numerical simulation technique.

Fracture and crack growth in orthotropic laminates [PDF]
A mathematical model based on the classical shear-lag assumptions is used to study the residual strength and fracture behavior of composite laminates with symmetrically placed buffer strips. The laminate is loaded by a uniform remote longitudinal tensile
