Log-likelihood ratio based successive interference cancellation in CDMA systems

The 57th IEEE Semiannual Vehicular Technology Conference, 2003. VTC 2003-Spring., 2004
We propose a new successive interference cancellation (SIC) scheme that cancels the interference in order of the magnitude of log-likelihood ratio (LLR) in CDMA systems. The motivation is that the reliability of a decision increases with increasing magnitude of LLR.

Carrier interference ratio analysis of efficient inter carrier interference cancellation scheme for OFDM system

2013 International Conference on Intelligent Systems and Signal Processing (ISSP), 2013
Frequency offset introduces inter-carrier interference (ICI) in the OFDM symbol. We can investigate effective method for combating the effect of ICI. Through simulations, it is shown that for larger value of normalized frequency offset weight of the desired signal component decreases while weight of the ICI component increase.

Cancellation moderating factor controlling scheme using signal power ratio for multi-antenna CDMA interference canceller

APCC/MDMC '04. The 2004 Joint Conference of the 10th Asia-Pacific Conference on Communications and the 5th International Symposium on Multi-Dimensional Mobile Communications Proceeding, 2005
In a CDMA non-linear interference canceller, the generated interference signal replica is multiplied by a positive number smaller than unity, which is called the cancellation moderating factor (CMF), to prevent the interference enhancement due to subtracting the inaccurate replicas.

Analysis of Interference Cancellation Ratio Requirement for Co-site Interference Mitigation Between AM and FM Systems

2019 Joint International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility, Sapporo and Asia-Pacific International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC Sapporo/APEMC), 2019
In mobile platforms such as vessels, because the antenna spacing between the different transceivers is small, when several transceivers are simultaneously transmitting and receiving, mutual interference will occur. At present, the most effective method to solve this problem is to adopt adaptive interference cancellation technique.

An iterative interference canceller with log-likelihood ratio compensation for LDPC coded MIMO systems

VTC-2005-Fall. 2005 IEEE 62nd Vehicular Technology Conference, 2005., 2006
This paper proposes a new iterative interference canceller (IIC) with log-likelihood ratio (LLR) compensation for low-density parity-check (LDPC) coded multi-input multi-output (MIMO) systems in order to mitigate the influence of error propagation.

Log-likelihood-ratio ordered successive interference cancellation in multi-user, multi-mode MIMO systems

IEEE Communications Letters, 2008
Log-likelihood-ratio (LLR) ordered successive interference cancellation (SIC) scheme is analyzed in multi-user, multi-mode, multi-input multi-output (MIMO) systems in which each user may choose between two operation modes: spatial multiplexing or beamforming.

Highly Efficient Multi-Hop Packet Transmission Using Intra-Flow Interference Cancellation and Maximal-Ratio Combining

IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications, 2015
Conventional Carrier Sense Multiple Access/Collision Avoidance (CSMA/CA) multi-hop transmission suffers severely from intra-flow interference (IFI) in dense traffic, due to the hidden terminal (HT) problem. We propose a non-CSMA/CA multi-hop transmission scheme with IFI-canceler (IFIC) that can efficiently relay packets under high traffic loads in ...

Signal to interference ratio (sir) analysis and interference cancellation in mimo ofdm systems with carrier frequency and timing offsets

Fourth International Conference on Advances in Recent Technologies in Communication and Computing (ARTCom2012), 2012
The orthogonal frequency-division-multiplexing(OFDM) scheme has been adopted in many applications such as the digital broadcast television, the wireless communications, and the high-bit-rate communications over the existing copper networks. OFDM has found the applications in several mobile radio communication systems, such as the European DAB (digital ...

Improve both carrier to interference power ratio and phase rotation error using ICI cancellation scheme in OFDM

2013 IEEE 11th Malaysia International Conference on Communications (MICC), 2013
In an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) system, the performance is sensitive to the carrier frequency offset (CFO). This CFO will destroy the orthogonality between the subcarriers and cause intercarrier interference (ICI), which not only reduces the carrier to interference power ratio (CIR), but also leads to a phase rotation of the ...

Signal-to-Noise Ratio Statistics for Nondispersive Fading in Radio Channels with Cross Polarization Interference Cancellation

IEEE Transactions on Communications, 1979
The signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) statistics of a crosspolarized interference cancellation scheme is derived in terms of the statistics of nondispersive fading of the signals in the radio channels. The results are applied to certain digital radio channels subjected to nondispersive fading.
