A Signal Processing Algorithm for Interference Suppression of Automotive Radar Using an Auxiliary Receiver [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Electromagnetic Engineering and Science
In this work, we propose an automotive radar system equipped with an add-on receiver (RX) capable of sensing and suppressing interference signals. The add-on RX is designed to filter out target signals, allowing only signals from interferers to exist in ...

Interference mitigation in LiFi networks

open access: yes, 2022
Due to the increasing demand for wireless data, the radio frequency (RF) spectrum has become a very limited resource. Alternative approaches are under investigation to support the future growth in data traffic and next-generation high-speed wireless communication systems. Techniques such as massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO), millimeter wave

Mechanisms of parasite‐mediated disruption of brain vessels

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Parasites can affect the blood vessels of the brain, often causing serious neurological problems. This review explains how different parasites interact with and disrupt these vessels, what this means for brain health, and why these processes matter. Understanding these mechanisms may help us develop better ways to prevent or treat brain infections in ...

Indoor Massive MIMO Deployments for Uniformly High Wireless Capacity

open access: yes, 2017
Providing consistently high wireless capacity is becoming increasingly important to support the applications required by future digital enterprises. In this paper, we propose Eigen-direction-aware ZF (EDA-ZF) with partial coordination among base stations

Exploiting Spatial Interference Alignment and Opportunistic Scheduling in the Downlink of Interference Limited Systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
In this paper we analyze the performance of single stream and multi-stream spatial multiplexing (SM) systems employing opportunistic scheduling in the presence of interference.

The newfound relationship between extrachromosomal DNAs and excised signal circles

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Extrachromosomal DNAs (ecDNAs) contribute to the progression of many human cancers. In addition, circular DNA by‐products of V(D)J recombination, excised signal circles (ESCs), have roles in cancer progression but have largely been overlooked. In this Review, we explore the roles of ecDNAs and ESCs in cancer development, and highlight why these ...

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

Cooperative Interference Mitigation Algorithm in Heterogeneous Networks [PDF]

open access: yesIEICE Transactions on Communications, 2015
Heterogeneous hetworks (HetNets) have been introduced as an emerging technology in order to meet the increasing demand for mobile data. HetNets are a combination of multi-layer networks such as macrocells and small cells. In such networks, users may suffer significant cross-layer interference. To manage this interference, the 3rd Generation Partnership

Interference Mitigation Through Limited Receiver Cooperation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Interference is a major issue limiting the performance in wireless networks. Cooperation among receivers can help mitigate interference by forming distributed MIMO systems. The rate at which receivers cooperate, however, is limited in most scenarios. How
