Interferometric observations of the circumstellar disk environments in close binary stars
The inner structure of protoplanetary disks can be strongly affected by the presence of the companion in close binary stars with ~au separation, where the dispersal of the circumstellar components may occur over time scales as short as 10000 yrs. The interferometric view helps us to understand better the disk-binary interaction in such systems.
