A Search for Be Stars in Multiple Systems within the Solar Neighborhood
Be stars are widely considered to be the product of binary interaction. However, whether all Be stars are formed via binary interaction is unclear, and detailed estimates of the multiplicity of Be stars and characterization of their components are ...

Gravity darkening and brightening in binaries
We apply a von Zeipel gravity darkening model to corotating binaries to obtain a simple, analytical expression for the emergent radiative flux from a tidally distorted primary orbiting a point-mass secondary.

Phase‐Retrieved High‐Throughput Multi‐Channel Simultaneous Surface Plasmon Resonance Detection
This work presents a new phase‐retrieval high‐throughput multi‐channel simultaneous SPR detection framework. By integrating an objective lens‐based coupling system with a rotation‐based ePIE (r‐ePIE) phase retrieval on the back focal planes, this framework significantly reduces the minimum required detection area to reveal localized information.

Classical Wolf–Rayet (WR) stars are descendants of massive OB-type stars that have lost their hydrogen-rich envelopes and are in the final stages of stellar evolution, possibly exploding as Type Ib/c supernovae.

The prospects for using asteroseismology of rapidly oscillating Ap (roAp) stars are hampered by the large uncertainty in fundamental stellar parameters. Results in the literature for the effective temperature (Teff) often span a range of 1000 K. Our goal

Remote Sensing Data Assimilation With a Chained Hydrologic‐Hydraulic Model for Flood Forecasting
Abstract Effective flood risk management requires reliable forecasts with extended lead times to enable the implementation of cost‐effective and timely measures. In this study, we present a chained hydrologic‐hydraulic modeling framework designed for effective near‐real‐time flood forecasting. The system integrates runoff predictions from a large‐scale

CO observations in rotating circumbinary post-AGB disks
Context. There is a group of post-asymptotic giant branch (post-AGB) stars that are part of a binary system and that show a significant infrared excess.

Abstract Volcano deformation measured through Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (InSAR) is ideal for volcano monitoring in many regions due to its global coverage, characteristic spatio‐temporal patterns, and modeling insights. Routinely acquired and processed Sentinel‐1 InSAR datacubes provide the first opportunity to systematically catalog ...

Formation of Be Stars via Wind Accretion: Case Study on Black Hole + Be Star Binaries
Be stars are rapidly rotating main-sequence stars that play a crucial role in understanding stellar evolution and binary interactions. In this Letter, we propose a new formation scenario for black hole (BH) + Be star binaries (hereafter BHBe binaries ...

On the binarity of the classical Cepheid X Sgr from interferometric observations
Optical-infrared interferometry can provide direct geometrical measurements of the radii of Cepheids and/or reveal unknown binary companions of these stars.
