Ferritin‐Doped Nanoparticles Triggered Tumor‐Specific Darkening for Enhanced Photothermal Tumor Ablation and Immune Activation
Advanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.Ferritin‐doped hybrid nanoparticles triggered accurate tumor‐specific hemorrhage for enhanced in situ photothermal therapy and evoked anti‐tumor immunity. Notably, HFn/GA‐Fe specifically induced tumor hemorrhage 12 h after intravenous injection, resulting in visible color darkening. Through photoacoustic imaging, tumor vessels could be clearly observed Haidong Zha, Xiao Liang, Long Xi, Jiamao Chen, Wenzhao Zhong, Zhen Yuan, Meng Xu, Ying Zheng +7 morewiley +1 more sourcePiP‐Plex: A Particle‐in‐Particle System for Multiplexed Quantification of Proteins Secreted by Single Cells
Advanced Materials, EarlyView.Detecting proteins secreted by a single cell while retaining its viability remains challenging. A particles‐in‐particle (PiPs) system made by co‐encapsulating barcoded microparticles (BMPs) with a single cell inside an alginate hydrogel particle is introduced.Félix Lussier, Byeong‐Ui Moon, Mojra Janta‐Polczynski, Yonatan Morocz, Fabian Svahn, Molly Shen, Ljuboje Lukic, Lidija Malic, Teodor Veres, Andy Ng, David Juncker +10 morewiley +1 more sourceMesenchymal Stem Cell‐Inspired Microneedle Platform for NIR‐responsive Immunomodulation and Accelerated Chronic Wound Healing
Advanced Materials, EarlyView. The research demonstrates a Mesenchymal Stem Cell‐inspired microneedle platform (MSCi@MN) that addresses chronic diabetic wounds by combining MSC‐derived extracellular nanovesicles (NV)–DNA conjugates in microneedle tips with photothermal MXene in the patch layer.Chan Ho Moon, Hee Gyeong Ko, Hyun Lee, Seojoon Bang, Hyeong Seok Kang, Ju Yeong Gwon, Jong Hwa Seo, Nayoung Lee, So Won Jeon, Yun‐A Kim, Jong Sang Yoon, Kyung‐Yup Cha, Min‐Ho Kang, Dong Yun Lee, Soo‐Hong Lee, Gi Doo Cha, Kisuk Yang, Donghyun Lim, Heemin Kang, Su Ryon Shin, Han Young Kim, Hyun‐Do Jung +21 morewiley +1 more sourceTwo interferon gamma release assays for predicting active tuberculosis: the UK PREDICT TB prognostic test study

Advanced Materials, EarlyView.A high‐throughput in vivo mRNA LNP screening platform is developed and employed to screen a large library of 122 mRNA LNPs in vivo for delivery to immune, stromal, and parenchymal cells, identifying promising LNP candidates. A novel small particle flow cytometry‐based protein adsorption analysis method is utilized to interrogate protein corona ...Alex G. Hamilton, Ajay S. Thatte, Junchao Xu, Zhangyi Luo, Hannah C. Advanced Science, EarlyView.Using iPSC‐derived motoneurons and postmortem tissue from FUS‐ALS patients, it is demonstrated that increased mitochondrial transcription leads to elevated cytosolic double‐stranded RNA (dsRNA) levels. This aberrant accumulation activates a RIG‐I–dependent innate immune response leading to neurodegeneration, which is amenable for FDA‐ and EMA‐approved ...Marcel Naumann, Theresa M. Advanced Science, EarlyView. This study explores the roles of Mettl3‐induced N6‐methyladenosine (m6A) modifications in Focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS). The findings reveal that inhibition of Mettl3 results in podocyte injury by modulating the TJP1CDC42 pathway. Moreover, Administration of N6‐methyladenosine attenuates the FSGS phenotype in WT mice induced by Adriamycin ...Fubin Zhu, Hongzhi Li, Xiang Li, Chunxiu Du, Ting Wang, Xuling Zhou, Xiaobei Xie, Yunxia Shao, Yingzhi Huang, Yanling Hu, Xinxin Guo, Bin Zhu, Shanshan Yu, Xiaoyan Zhang, Binghai Zhao +14 morewiley +1 more sourceOligoprotein type I interferon signatures, but not TREX1 variants, increase risk of systemic lupus erythematosus in UK Biobank.
