Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

A combined interior point homotopy continuation method is proposed for solving general multiobjective programming problem. We prove the existence and convergence of a smooth homotopy path from almost any interior initial interior point to a solution of ...

Counting the Interior Points of a Point Configuration [PDF]
Let \(A\) be a collection of points in \(\mathbb{R}^d\) whose affine span is \(\mathbb{R}^d\), and \(\text{int}(A)\) the set of points in \(A\) that lie in the interior of its convex hull \(\text{conv}(A)\). A subset \(K\subseteq A\) is called free if \(\text{conv} (K)\cap A=K\) and the set of vertices of \(\text{conv}(K)\) is \(K\).

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

Interior point methods in the year 2025
Interior point methods (IPMs) have hugely influenced the field of optimization. Their fast development has been triggered by the seminal paper of Narendra Karmarkar published in 1984 which delivered a polynomial algorithm for linear programming and ...

In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Interior-point solver for convex separable block-angular problems [PDF]
Constraints matrices with block-angular structures are pervasive in Optimization. Interior-point methods have shown to be competitive for these structured problems by exploiting the linear algebra.

Interior Point Decoding for Linear Vector Channels
In this paper, a novel decoding algorithm for low-density parity-check (LDPC) codes based on convex optimization is presented. The decoding algorithm, called interior point decoding, is designed for linear vector channels.
