Interlayer resistance of misoriented MoS2 [PDF]
Interlayer misorientation in bilayer MoS2 exponentially increases the interlayer electron resistivity while leaving the hole resistivity almost unchanged. The asymmetrical effect of misorientation on the electron and hole transport may be exploited in the design and optimization of vertical transport devices such as a bipolar junction transistor.

Sol–gel‐derived ZnO–rGO hybrid nanoparticles enable Al7075 powder‐metallurgy composites to achieve concurrent gains in hardness and thermal conductivity while markedly lowering friction and wear. The hybrid architecture couples ZnO‐based load support with rGO‐assisted lamellar sliding and heat spreading, revealing a promising route toward lightweight ...

Ultraviolet Irradiation Treatment for Enhanced Sodium Storage Performance Based on Wide-Interlayer-Spacing Hollow C@MoS2@CN Nanospheres [PDF]
The photochemistry and sodium storage process have been generally considered as two separated approaches without strong connection. Here, ultraviolet (UV) irradiation was applied to sodium-ion batteries to improve the electrochemical performance of MoS2 ...

X‐ray computed tomography reveals how process‐induced defects evolve from green to sintered states in Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF)‐manufactured 17‐4PH stainless steel. Internal porosity, weakest cross‐sections, and fracture locations show strong correlation with tensile performance, demonstrating the potential of computed tomography (CT)‐based ...

Interlayer Affected Diamond Electrochemistry
AbstractDiamond electrochemistry is primarily influenced by quantities of sp3‐carbon, surface terminations, and crystalline structure. In this work, a new dimension is introduced by investigating the effect of using substrate‐interlayers for diamond growth.

Hybrid Metal–Carbon Ink for Printed Stretchable Temperature Sensors
We prepare conductive inks for temperature sensing with silver flakes and carbon or graphite flakes in a silicone elastomer matrix. Silver dominates the temperature‐dependent conductivity, while the carbon filler network ensures the stability of the conductive pathways and retains function under strain.

Growth of crack-free AlGaN film on thin AlN interlayer by MOCVD [PDF]
We have studied the effect of low-temperature-deposited (LT) and high-temperature-deposited (FIT) AlN interlayer with various thickness on AlGaN film grown on GaN using c-plane sapphire as substrate. All the Al0.25Ga0.75N films thicker than 1 mum with LT-

Raman spectroscopy of hydrotalcites with sulphate, molybdate and chromate in the interlayer [PDF]
Raman microscopy has been used to characterize the interlayer anions in synthesized hydrotalcites of formula Mg6Al2(OH)(16)(XO4)(.)4H(2)O, where X is S, Mo or Cr. The Raman spectrum shows that both the chromate and molybdate anions are not polymerized in
