Semiconducting Polymers Post‐Functionalized With Ureido‐Pyrimidinone for Robust Stretchable Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The design of intrinsically robust stretchable semiconducting polymers was achieved through OTBS‐mediated post‐functionalization of PDPP2T side chains with UPy units, generating dual hydrogen‐bonding motifs comprising weaker urethane linkages and strong quadruple UPy interactions along the long alkyl side chain, which is crucial for achieving desirable

Chemically Fueled Systems Chemistry Across Length Scales

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Chemically fueled reaction cycles regulate processes through single and multiple catalytic sites on the molecular and assembly scale. This gives rise to unique kinetically controlled properties/functions like spatio‐temporal catalysis, oscillations, optical properties, and perform work.

Crystal Structure Prediction and Intermolecular Interaction Study of CL-20/NQ Cocrystal Explosive

open access: yes四川大学学报. 自然科学版, 2016
Density functional theory was employed to investigate the four structures (a, b, c, d) of CL-20/NQ cocrystal. The intermolecular interaction, explosive property, and crystal structure were analyzed and predicted in this paper.

(E)-2-(2-Hydroxy-3-methylbenzylidene)-N-methylhydrazine-1-carbothioamide: supramolecular assemblies in two-dimensions mediated by N—H...S and C—H...π interactions

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E: Crystallographic Communications, 2019
In the title compound, C10H13N3OS, the azomethine C=N double bond has an E configuration. The phenyl ring and methylhydrazine carbothioamide moiety [maximum deviation = 0.008 (2) Å] are twisted slightly with a dihedral angle of 14.88 (10)°.

Polarization Sensitivity of Chiral Manganese Halide Scintillators Enables High‐Resolution X‐Ray Imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Highly luminescent chiral manganese halide crystals are synthesized using chiral ligands, and they exhibit dissymmetry factors up to 1.4 × 10−2 and show X‐ray detection scintillation capability with a light yield of 43 380 photons/MeV and a low detection limit of 0.05198 µGyair·s−1.

Charge Generation and Recombination Pathways in All‐Polymer Bulk Heterojunction Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Multimodal spectroscopy and device analysis reveal how field‐dependent charge generation, transport limitations, and non‐geminate recombination govern performance losses in all polymer solar cells. The results identify the key processes controlling charge extraction and recombination, providing insights for the design of more efficient all‐polymer ...

Synchrotron-based UV resonance Raman scattering for investigating ionic liquid-water solutions

open access: yesCondensed Matter Physics, 2019
This work shows that bulk ionic liquids (ILs) and their water solution can be conveniently investigated by synchrotron-based UV resonance Raman (UVRR) spectroscopy.

Silicone Phase Behavior Resolves the Softness–Surface Functionality Trade‐Off in Emerging Stretchable Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Ultrasoft silicone elastomers often sacrifice surface functionality for mechanical compliance. In Mold Star, low‐molecular‐weight species form a dispersed phase that weakens the network and passivates the surface. Solvent extraction removes this phase, unexpectedly improving both extensibility and metallization performance, enabling conductive ...

High‐Performance n‐Type Organic Thermoelectrics Enabled by Control Over Microstructure, Orientation and Contact Plane in Naphthalenediimide‐Bithiazole‐Copolymer Films

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Effective control over the crystalline contact plane and microstructure of a naphthalenediimide‐bithiazole copolymer enables high‐performance n‐type thermoelectrics. While rubbing alignment induces a detrimental edge‐on orientation, subsequent solvent vapor‐induced re‐orientation facilitates a favorable mixed face‐on/edge‐on morphology.

Crystal structure, Hirshfeld surface analysis and DFT studies of 2-[4-(2-methylpropyl)phenyl]-N′-[(1Z)-1-(thiophen-2-yl)ethylidene]propanehydrazide

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E: Crystallographic Communications
In the title compound C19H24N2OS, intermolecular N—H...O hydrogen bonds generate R22(8) ring motifs, forming dimers with an interaction energy of −70.5 kJ mol−1.
