Machine-learning prediction model for bond strength evolution of corroded rebar-concrete interface

open access: yesJournal of Highway and Transportation Research and Development
The mechanical performance of concrete structures under corrosive environments largely depends on the bond behavior between rebar and concrete. Existing studies primarily focus on predicting the peak bond stress, paying limited attention to the complete ...

Effect of an internal coating technique on tensile bond strengths of resin cements to zirconia ceramics

open access: yesDental Materials Journal, 2009
This study was conducted to enhance the tensile bond strengths of resin cements to zirconia ceramics. Fifty-six zirconia ceramic specimens (Cercon Base) and twenty-eight silica-based ceramic specimens (GN-1, GN-1 Ceramic Block) were air-abraded using alumina.

Erythropoietin modulates hepatic inflammation, glucose homeostasis, and soluble epoxide hydrolase and epoxides in high‐fat diet‐induced obese mice

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Erythropoietin administration suppresses hepatic soluble epoxide hydrolase (sEH) expression, leading to increased CYP‐derived epoxides. This is associated with a shift in hepatic macrophage polarization characterized by reduced M1 markers and increased M2 markers, along with reduced hepatic inflammation, suppressed hepatic lipogenesis, and attenuated ...

Effects of Flat-Shaped Face Layer Particles and Core Layer Particles of Intentionally Greater Thickness on the Properties of Wood-Reduced Particleboard

open access: yesFibers, 2020
Against the background of the intention to reduce the amount of wood used in the production of particleboard for economic reasons, the associated reduction in panel density and consequently the panel properties, the influence of the alternative use of ...

Analysing the significance of small conformational changes and low occupancy states in serial crystallographic data

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.

Effect of green tea extract antioxidant on dentin shear bond strength and resin-tag penetration depth after non-vital bleaching [version 2; peer review: 1 approved, 2 approved with reservations]

open access: yesF1000Research, 2023
Background: 35% Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) as an active material for internal bleaching produce free radicals that can affect the adhesive system. Application of 10% and 35% green tea (GT) extract as an antioxidant after 2 minutes are expected can remove ...

Identifying gene expression signatures for risk stratification of postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy in colorectal cancer

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
A novel signature integrating genome‐wide analysis with clinical factors predicts recurrence in stage II colorectal cancer and enables a new risk stratification to guide postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy. Clinical risk stratification for postoperative recurrence in patients with pathological stage II (pStage II) colorectal cancer (CRC) is essential ...
