Psychological Safety Among Interprofessional Pediatric Oncology Teams in Germany: A Nationwide Survey

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Psychological safety (PS) is essential for teamwork, communication, and patient safety in complex healthcare environments. In pediatric oncology, interprofessional collaboration occurs under high emotional and organizational demands. Low PS may increase stress, burnout, and adverse events.

A Dual Deep Neural Network Approach for Discriminating Internal Faults and Inrush Currents in Transformers Under CT Saturation

open access: yesIEEE Access
The dependability and security of transformer differential protection can be compromised by current transformer (CT) saturation, which distorts current measurements and may lead to the maloperation of protective relays.

A Diagnosis Approach for Typical Faults of Lithium-ion Battery Based on Extended Kalman Filter

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrochemical Science, 2016
A fault diagnosis approach based on extended Kalman filter and incremental capacity analysis is proposed with fully understanding the internal failure mechanism of lithium-ion battery, which is extremely suitable for dynamic conditions.

Kinematics of fault-related folding derived from a sandbox experiment [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
We analyze the kinematics of fault tip folding at the front of a fold-and-thrust wedge using a sandbox experiment. The analog model consists of sand layers intercalated with low-friction glass bead layers, deposited in a glass-sided experimental device ...

Predicting the Future Burden of Renal Replacement Therapy in Türkiye Using National Registry Data and Comparative Modeling Approaches

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Chronic kidney disease is a growing public health problem worldwide, and the number of patients requiring renal replacement therapy is steadily increasing. Türkiye has experienced a similar rise in both the incidence and prevalence of renal replacement therapy over the past decades; however, national‐level projections of future ...

Numerical simulation of buckling behavior of the buried steel pipeline under reverse fault displacement [PDF]

open access: yesMechanical Sciences, 2015
Reverse fault movement is one of the threats for the structural integrity of buried oil-gas pipelines caused by earthquakes. Buckling behavior of the buried pipeline was investigated by finite element method.

Redundant Logic Insertion and Fault Tolerance Improvement in Combinational Circuits

open access: yes, 2017
This paper presents a novel method to identify and insert redundant logic into a combinational circuit to improve its fault tolerance without having to replicate the entire circuit as is the case with conventional redundancy techniques.

Crosstalk between the ribosome quality control‐associated E3 ubiquitin ligases LTN1 and RNF10

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of the E3 ligase LTN1, the ubiquitin‐like modifier UFM1, or the deubiquitinating enzyme UFSP2 disrupts endoplasmic reticulum–ribosome quality control (ER‐RQC), a pathway that removes stalled ribosomes and faulty proteins. This disruption may trigger a compensatory response to ER‐RQC defects, including increased expression of the E3 ligase RNF10 ...

Metamorphic fault tolerance: an automated and systematic methodology for fault tolerance in the absence of test oracle [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
A system may fail due to an internal bug or a fault in its exe- cution environment. Incorporating fault tolerance strategies enables such system to complete its function despite the fail- ure of some of its parts.

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).
