Medium-Long-Term Radiographic and Clinical Outcomes after Surgical Treatment of Intra-Articular Tibial Pilon Fractures by Three Different Techniques [PDF]
The goal of this retrospective, observational, case series study was to evaluate the medium-long-term clinical and radiographic results of the three most common surgical osteosynthesis techniques used for the treatment of articular tibial pilon fractures:

Indications for Open Reduction Internal Fixation of Anterior Pelvic Ring Disruptions.
In acute trauma, pelvic ring instability can lead to hemorrhage and hemodynamic instability. Pelvic ring instability and displacement that is not stabilized may lead to chronic pain, sitting imbalance, and limb length inequality.

Clinical Outcomes of the Ilizarov Method After an Infected Tibial Non Union [PDF]
Background: The Ilizarov technique has been used in the UK for the last 20 years in the management of infected non-union of long bones. This method uses fine wires inserted percutaneously which are attached and tensioned to provide a strong frame ...

Use of internal lengthening nails in post-traumatic sequelae
External fixators are a well-established modality for treating fractures with bone defects, leg-length discrepancy, malunion, nonunion and other post-traumatic consequences.

SUMMARY A 17‐year‐old, 24‐kg, female greater rhea (Rhea americana) presented with an acute onset of left wing droop. Clinical examination and radiographs revealed an open, simple, displaced, short‐oblique diaphyseal fracture of the distal third of the left humerus.

Coverage of exposed hardware after lower leg fractures with free flaps or pedicled flaps [PDF]
. – OBJECTIVE: The placement of osteosynthetic materials in the leg may be complicated by hardware exposure. Successful soft tissue reconstruction often provides a critical means for limb salvage in patients with hardware exposure in the leg.

Treatment of complex fractures of the distal radius: a prospective randomised comparison of external fixation 'versus' locked volar plating [PDF]
The traditional treatment of severely impacted fractures of the distal radius involves bridging external fixation and maintaining reduction by applying continuous traction.

Abstract A 4‐month‐old pet rabbit was presented with intermittent left pelvic limb lameness, painful and swollen left metatarsal region. Radiographs revealed complete simple fractures of the left metatarsal bones II, III and IV. Open reduction and internal fixation were performed using intramedullary pins.
