Chromatic‐Invariant Photothermal Fabrics Enabled by Narrow‐Bandgap Organic Semiconductors for Wearable Solar Energy Harvesting

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A chromatic‐invariant photothermal fabric is fabricated for outdoor activewear, realizing 4°C–8°C heating within 5 min under 1000 W m−2 illumination via NIR absorption, retaining high visible‐light reflectivity and original fabric functions, and achieving >95.3% sterilization in 20 min.

Internal friction peaks observed in explosively deformed polycrystalline Mo, Nb, and Cu [PDF]

open access: yes
Explosive deformation (50 kbar range) induced, in Cu, Mo and Nb, internal friction peaks identical to those observed after large normal deformation. The variation of the peaks with pressure for Mo and Nb lead to an explanation of these processes in terms

Hydrogelation via Supramolecular Copolymerization of Structural Water within Adaptive Metal–Organic Fibers

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Structural water is harnessed as an active co‐monomer to drive supramolecular polymerization in bulk water. Zinc(II) Salphen complexes confine water molecules to form hollow, metal–organic nanofibers that assemble into adaptive hydrogels with thermoresponsive mechanics and selective chiral recognition.

Deployable 3D‐Printed Vascular Stent with Surface‐Catalysed Endogenous Nitric Oxide Generation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A deployable 3D‐printed vascular stent was fabricated with surface‐catalyzed endogenous nitric oxide generation, representing a promising new direction for stent development. The stent can be remotely controlled by magnetic force in its compressed state and fully deployed at the target site using an untethered heat source, potentially eliminating the ...

Optimum subsonic, high-angle-of-attack nacelles [PDF]

open access: yes
The optimum design of nacelles that operate over a wide range of aerodynamic conditions and their inlets is described. For low speed operation the optimum internal surface velocity distributions and skin friction distributions are described for three ...

Self‐Powered Flexible Triboelectric‐Gated Ion‐Gel Transistor for Neuromorphic Tactile Sensing and Human Activity Recognition

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A fully flexible ion‐gel‐gated graphene‐channel transistor driven by a triboelectric nanogenerator enables self‐powered tactile sensing and synaptic learning. Mimicking spike‐rate‐dependent plasticity, the device exhibits frequency‐selective potentiation and depression, supporting rate‐coded neuromorphic computation even under flex.
