Notes on Norwegian marine Amphipoda 7. Amphipod associates of Geodia sponges in western Norway
The rarely collected amphipod species Amphithopsis longicaudata Boeck (Calliopiidae), Cheirimedon latimanus (Sars) (Lysianassidae), Laothoes meinerti Boeck (Calliopiidae) and Phippsiella similis (Sars) (Stegocephalidae) have been collected in the Bergen

Human‐relevant methods are essential for modern chemical safety assessment. This study helps define the capabilities and boundaries of an in vitro testing battery for developmental neurotoxicity by exploring its biological applicability domain. By linking neurodevelopmental disease‐related pathways to key neurodevelopmental processes, the work enhances

Modeling the ecology and evolution of biodiversity: Biogeographical cradles, museums, and graves [PDF]
Individual processes shaping geographical patterns of biodiversity are increasingly understood, but their complex interactions on broad spatial and temporal scales remain beyond the reach of analytical models and traditional experiments.

We studied how five common immunosuppressants behave when delivered directly to a transplant site instead of systemically. Using a vascularized implant for islet transplantation, we show that local delivery protects grafts, limits drug spread to the rest of the body, and produces distinct immune signatures.

A triangle model of criminality [PDF]
This paper is concerned with a quantitative model describing the interaction of three sociological species, termed as owners, criminals and security guards, and denoted by X, Y and Z respectively. In our model, Y is a predator of the species X, and so is

Simulation as a method for asymptotic system behavior identification (e.g. water frog hemiclonal population systems) [PDF]
Studying any system requires development of ways to describe the variety of its conditions. Such development includes three steps. The first one is to identify groups of similar systems (associative typology).

Oil‐Coated Nanoplastics Induce Rapid Membrane Disruption and Severe Intestinal Injury
Oil‐rich food contact dramatically amplifies MNP release from plastic takeout containers, producing oil‐coated nanoplastics with altered surface properties and rapid membrane‐disruptive effects. These particles cause severe intestinal barrier damage and immune dysfunction in mice, and risk modeling suggests that long‐term gastrointestinal burdens may ...

Dynamic formation of asexual diploid and polyploid lineages: multilocus analysis of Cobitis reveals the mechanisms maintaining the diversity of clones. [PDF]
Given the hybrid genomic constitutions and increased ploidy of many asexual animals, the identification of processes governing the origin and maintenance of clonal diversity provides useful information about the evolutionary consequences of interspecific
