A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.

Interval Split Covariance Intersection Filter: Theory and Its Application to Cooperative Localization in a Multi-Sensor Multi-Vehicle System

open access: yesSensors
The data incest problem causes inter-estimate correlation during data fusion processes, which yields inconsistent data fusion results. Especially in the multi-sensor multi-vehicle (MSMV) system, the data incest problem is serious due to multiple relative

Approaches to the Determination of the Working Area of Parallel Robots and the Analysis of Their Geometric Characteristics

open access: yesEngineering Transactions, 2019
The article presents and experimentally confirms two approaches to the problem of determining the working area of parallel robots using the example of a planar robot DexTAR with two degrees of freedom.

Estimating confidence intervals for transport Mode share. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
One of the common statistics used to monitor transport activity is the total travel by a particular method or mode and, for each mode, this share is routinely expressed as a percentage of total personal travel.

Tumor and germline testing with next generation sequencing in epithelial ovarian cancer: a prospective paired comparison using an 18‐gene panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Genetic testing in epithelial ovarian cancer includes both germline and tumor‐testing. This approach often duplicates resources. The current prospective study assessed the feasibility of tumor‐first multigene testing by comparing tumor tissue with germline testing of peripheral blood using an 18‐gene NGS panel in 106 patients.

A least squares approach to Principal Component Analysis for interval valued data [PDF]

open access: yes
Principal Component Analysis (PCA) is a well known technique the aim of which is to synthesize huge amounts of numerical data by means of a low number of unobserved variables, called components.

Plasma extrachromosomal circular DNA as a biomarker in EGFR‐targeted therapy of non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Detection of extrachromosomal circular DNA (eccDNA) in plasma samples from EGFR‐mutated non‐small cell lung cancer patients. Plasma was collected before and during treatment with the EGFR‐tyrosine kinase inhibitor osimertinib. Plasma eccDNA was detected in all cancer samples, and the presence of the EGFR gene on eccDNA serves as a potential biomarker ...

Implementation and verification of global optimization benchmark problems

open access: yesOpen Engineering, 2017
The paper considers the implementation and verification of a test suite containing 150 benchmarks for global deterministic box-constrained optimization. A C++ library for describing standard mathematical expressions was developed for this purpose.
