Analysis of gestational interval
American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, 1967The last menstrual period (LMP) date is a benchmark for duration of each pregnancy for lack of any readily available alternative. The derived interval, wrongly referred to as “weeks of gestation,” is assessed critically with respect to its dependability in terms of over 2,000 live births for which the LMP onset was currently recorded in a study of ...

Reference Intervals in Coagulation Analysis
Hämostaseologie, 2022AbstractBlood coagulation analysis is characterized by the application of a variety of materials, reagents, and analyzers for the determination of the same parameter, or analyte, by different laboratories worldwide. Accordingly, the application of common reference intervals, that, by definition, would represent a “range of values (of a certain analyte)

We revisit disjunctive interval analysis based on the Boxes abstract domain. We propose the use of what we call range decision diagrams (RDDs) to implement Boxes, and we provide algorithms for the necessary RDD operations. RDDs tend to be more compact than the linear decision diagrams (LDDs) that have traditionally been used for Boxes.

This chapter is an overview of past and present works dealing with fuzzy intervals and their operations. A fuzzy interval is a fuzzy set in the real line whose level-cuts are intervals. Particular cases include usual real numbers and intervals. Usual operations on the real line canonically extend to operations between fuzzy quantities, thus extending ...
