CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

E2A selectively regulates TGF‐β–induced apoptosis in KRAS‐mutant non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Ability to induce apoptosis by TGF‐β is frequently lost in advanced lung adenocarcinoma despite intact TGF‐β signaling. We identify E2A as a mutant KRAS–dependent mediator of resistance to TGF‐β–induced apoptosis. TGF‐β induces E2A via SMAD3 in mutant KRAS cells, and E2A silencing restores apoptosis and enhances radiation response in cell lines ...

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Role of endoscopic ultrasound in non-small cell lung cancer

open access: yes, 2016
Lung carcinoma is a common cause of mortality and morbidity worldwide. Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) accounts for majority of cases worldwide. Accurate staging of NSCLC is of paramount importance due to marked difference in survival and management ...

KDM7A and KDM1A inhibition suppresses tumour promoting pathways in prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Treatment resistance is a major challenge for patients with advanced prostate cancer. This study examined an alternative approach to target the major prostate cancer‐promoting pathway by targeting epigenetic factors, whose levels are higher in tumours.

EUS-guided pancreatic duct drainage—technical tips and outcomes: narrative review

open access: yesTherapeutic Advances in Gastroenterology
Endoscopic ultrasound-guided pancreatic duct drainage (EUS-PDD) is becoming an alternative treatment in patients with difficult retrograde access to the pancreatic duct due to difficulty in cannulation or surgically altered anatomy.

Endoscopic ultrasound—guided duodenojejunostomy for a duodenal duplication cyst presenting with duodenal obstruction

open access: yesVideoGIE
Background and Aims: Duodenal duplications are rare congenital anomalies that can cause gastrointestinal obstruction. Although surgical resection is the standard treatment, endoscopic alternatives are increasingly being explored.

Unveiling mediastinal pathology: role of EUS guided fine needle aspiration in diagnosing mediastinal lesions

open access: yes, 2018
Background: Mediastinal lesion is the focus of investigation in diagnosis of infective, granulomatous or neoplastic pathology of respiratory system. Metastatic mediastinal node assessment is an integral part of oncological management. EUS provides access
