A Rare Clinical Manifestation of Disseminated Tuberculosis: Case Report of Tuberculous Meningitis With Flaccid Paralysis

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 1, January 2026.
ABSTRACT This case highlights a rare presentation of disseminated tuberculosis in a child, manifesting as tuberculous meningitis and flaccid paralysis due to spinal tuberculosis. Timely initiation of antitubercular therapy, corticosteroids, and ventriculoperitoneal shunt placement led to full recovery, emphasizing tuberculosis consideration in atypical

PGC‐1α Transcriptionally Regulated by ChREBP Mitigates Neuropathic Pain Through Promoting Microglial Fatty Acid Oxidation and Anti‐Inflammatory Response

open access: yesCNS Neuroscience &Therapeutics, Volume 32, Issue 1, January 2026.
ChREBP transcriptionally regulates PGC‐1α, which enhances the expression of fatty acid oxidation genes, promotes the fatty acid oxidation process, and thereby increases the polarization of anti‐inflammatory microglia, reduces the level of inflammatory factors, and improves pain symptoms.

Magnetic Resonance Neurography of the Brachial Plexus at 1.5 T: Diagnostic Reliability and Time Efficiency of Bilateral Ultra‐Fast 3D STIR vs. Unilateral 2D Dixon

open access: yesInternational Journal of Imaging Systems and Technology, Volume 36, Issue 1, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Recent technological advancements may now allow shorter reliable magnetic resonance neurography (MRN) scans of the brachial plexus (BP) even at 1.5 T. The objective of this study was to compare ultra‐fast bilateral coronal 3D T2w TSE STIR (3D‐IR) with unilateral sagittal 2D T2w TSE Dixon (2D‐DX) in terms of image quality, diagnostic ...
