Hereditary Hemochromatosis Unmasked by Yersiniosis: Report of Three Cases. [PDF]
ABSTRACT Yersiniosis has a causal relationship with hereditary hemochromatosis (HH). Physicians should have a high index of suspicion for the diagnosis of HH when approaching a patient with yersiniosis in the setting of high ferritin levels and increased iron saturation. Yersiniosis serves as a precursor for the diagnosis of HH.

Comparison of pathological changes in the study of dogs affected by parvoviral enteritis and intestinal yersiniosis [PDF]
Aim of the study: to examine the pathological changes in dogs that died due to confirmed intestinal yersiniosis and parvoviral enteritis and establish trends for characteristic organ lesions for both diseases in comparison, then evaluate our findings with the existing published material of sufficient evidence quality regarding differential postmortem ...

First Isolation of Yersinia enterocolitica From a Sea Turtle: A Case Report in Caretta caretta. [PDF]
1. First isolation of Yersinia enterocolitica, a zoonotic bacterium, in a loggerhead sea turtle (Caretta caretta), identifying it as the likely cause of severe colitis, hepatitis, and fatal sepsis. 2. The findings highlight that sea turtles and the marine environment can act as reservoirs for Y. enterocolitica: this poses a “One Health” threat. 3.

Unraveling the Pathogenetic Potential and Immune Crosstalk of Yersinia spp. in Inflammatory Bowel Disease. [PDF]
Yersinia enterocolitica and Yersinia pseudotuberculosis have been identified as microbiological factors in the multifactorial pathophysiology of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Although conventionally associated with self‐limiting gastroenteritis, Yersinia has been increasingly investigated for its potential role in IBD, particularly in genetically ...

Prospects for the use of disintegrated membranes of Yersinia pseudotuberculosis, Yersinia enterocolitica and specific antibodies derived from them [PDF]
It has been established that disintegrated membranes (DM) of pseudotuberculosis and intestinal Yersiniosis microbes can be used to produce highly active hyperimmune sera.

Pathomorphological Changes in Intestinal Yersiniosis in Cats
Mammalian yersiniosis is of interest to researchers around the world, due to the expansion of the range of spread of the disease. Most publications of previous years concerned productive animals and the spread of the pathogen in environmental objects.

Diagnostic markers of yersiniosis in patients with inflammatory bowel diseases
Relevance. This study is related to the study of the etiology, pathogenesis and clinic of inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD). In a number of patients with IBD who are refractory to anti-inflammatory/immunosuppressive therapy, there are signs of current or

Immunotropic and Immunogenic Properties of Nonspecific Yersinia Porins
The purpose of the study is to summarize our own data and literature data on the significance of poreforming proteins of the outer membrane of Yersinia as factors of their pathogenicity and as diagnostic and protective antigens, and their role in ...

Clinical, Morphological, and Biochemical Alterations in Acute Intestinal Yersiniosis [PDF]
The aim of this study was to examine the intestinal response to Yersinia enterocolitica (YE) infection. Growing New Zealand white rabbits (450-800 g) were infected with 10(10) organisms of a human pathogenic strain (n = 43) or NaHCO3 for controls (n = 30) and studied 3, 6, 10, and 14 days after infection.

Immunostimulating effect of Yersinia enterocolitica-antigen conjugated gold nanoparticles
Yersinia enterocolitica is one of the most common causative agents of nosocomial infections and the causative agent of yersiniosis, an acute infectious disease of the gastrointestinal tract. Intestinal yersiniosis caused by Y.
