Intra-individual variation in G2 chromosomal radiosensitivity. [PDF]
Intra-individual variation in G(2) chromosomal radiosensitivity was examined by repeatedly taking blood samples from two individuals. Two healthy female volunteers provided a total of 44 blood samples, Donor 1 gave 28 samples in four time periods between 2001 and 2006 and Donor 2 gave 16 samples in two of the same time periods.

Intra-individual variation of upper airway measurements based on computed tomography. [PDF]
The aims of this study were (1) to quantify the intra-individual variation in the upper airway measurements on supine computed tomography (CT) scans at two different time points; and (2) to identify the most stable parameters of the upper airway measurements over time.

Intra-individual variation of circulating tumour DNA in lung cancer patients. [PDF]
Circulating tumour DNA (ctDNA) has been increasingly incorporated into the treatment of cancer patients. ctDNA is generally accepted as a powerful diagnostic tool, whereas the utility of ctDNA to monitor disease activity needs to be fully validated. Central to this challenge is the question of whether changes in longitudinal ctDNA measurements reflect ...

Intra-individual variation of miRNA expression levels in human plasma samples. [PDF]
Circulating miRNAs as potential non-invasive biomarkers for disease risk assessment and cancer early diagnosis have attracted increasing interest. Little information, however, is available regarding the intra-individual variation of circulating miRNA levels. We measured expression levels of a panel of 800 miRNAs in repeated plasma samples from 51 ...

Diet standardization reduces intra-individual microbiome variation
The human gut microbiota is highly heterogenous between individuals and also exhibits considerable day-to-day variation within individuals. We hypothesized that diet contributed to such inter- and/or intra-individual variance. Hence, we investigated the extent to which diet normalization impacted microbiota heterogeneity.

Intra-individual variation in RMR in older people [PDF]
In the factorial estimation of total energy expenditure it is assumed that the intra-individual variation in RMR is small. Little is known about the intra-individual variation in RMR in older subjects. The present study investigated the intra-individual variation in RMR in older people. Measurements of RMR were made in twenty-seven older subjects, mean

Gender assignment and gender agreement in advanced French interlanguage: a cross-sectional study [PDF]
An analysis of 519 gender errors (out of 9,378 modifiers) in the advanced French interlanguage of 27 Dutch L1 speakers confirms earlier findings that gender assignment and/or agreement remain problematic for learners at all levels.

New evidence on taxes and portfolio choice [PDF]
Identifying the effect of differential taxation on portfolio allocation requires exogenous variation in marginal tax rates. Marginal tax rates vary with income, but income surely affects portfolio choice directly. In systems of individual taxation – like

AbstractThis paper explores intra-individual variation as a manifestation of language-internal multilingualism in the Central-Bavarian Austrian context. Based on speech data from children and adults in different contexts, we discuss different methods of measuring and analyzing inter-situational variation along the dialect and standard language spectrum.
