Predictors and a Nomogram for Parenchymal Hematoma After Endovascular Thrombectomy in Large Core Ischemic Stroke

open access: yesCNS Neuroscience &Therapeutics, Volume 32, Issue 8, August 2026.
This study developed and internally validated a nomogram incorporating baseline NIHSS score, monocytes, platelets, post‐thrombectomy fasting blood glucose, and number of passes to predict parenchymal hematoma after EVT in large core infarctions. A pass‐by‐IVT interaction suggests minimizing unnecessary passes during direct thrombectomy.

Hsa_circ_0044097 Serves as a Promising Biomarker of Atherosclerosis and Its Effects on Vascular Smooth Cell Proliferation and Migration

open access: yesJournal of Biochemical and Molecular Toxicology, Volume 40, Issue 8, August 2026.
Hsa_circ_0044097 expression level was decreased AS patients and in ox‐LDL‐HASMC. The expression level of hsa_circ_0044097 is negatively correlated with the levels of hs‐CRP and LDL‐C. Hsa_circ_0044097 can be a biomarker for the diagnosis and prediction of MACE.

Factor XI Inhibition for Ischemic Stroke Secondary Prevention: Pharmacology, Clinical Evidence, and Future Directions

open access: yesThe Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, Volume 66, Issue 8, August 2026.
Abstract Ischemic stroke remains a leading cause of death and disability worldwide, and bleeding (particularly intracranial hemorrhage) continues to limit conventional antithrombotic therapy in secondary prevention, even with direct oral anticoagulants.

Lymphatic Endothelial Cells in Health and Disease

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 7, Issue 8, August 2026.
Lymphatic endothelial cells (LECs) are dynamic regulators of tissue homeostasis and disease remodeling. In the healthy state, LECs coordinate interstitial fluid drainage, intestinal lipid transport, and immune trafficking and tolerance. Across disease settings, however, these same programs become maladaptively reprogrammed, contributing to barrier ...

Nurse‐Coordinated and Guideline‐Driven Care in Acute Ischemic Stroke: A Prospective Study With Retrospective Propensity‐Score Matched Controls

open access: yesNursing Open, Volume 13, Issue 8, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Aim To evaluate the efficacy of establishing a nurse‐coordinated and guideline‐driven care by advanced stroke nurses for acute ischemic stroke (AIS). Background Specialised nursing care is usually not integrated enough to provide high quality of interdisciplinary care for patients with AIS.

Beyond Venous Inflammation: Vessel Wall Imaging of Intracranial Arteries in Neuro‐Behçet's Syndrome

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Neurology, Volume 33, Issue 8, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Neuro‐Behçet syndrome (NBS) is a heterogeneous inflammatory disorder in which venous involvement is well recognized, while intracranial arterial pathology remains insufficiently characterized. Conventional luminal imaging methods are limited in detecting early or isolated arterial wall abnormalities.
