Identification of antibiotic allergies in children using prescribing patterns in the electronic medical record

Background By age three, 5%–75% of children have a documented antibiotic allergy (AL). Despite this prevalence, recognition remains low because of limited clinician knowledge and time. Poly(lactic‐co‐glycolic acid) microsphere loaded dissolving microneedles for sustained and coordinated transdermal delivery of desogestrel and ethinyl estradiol

PLGA‐based sustained‐release microneedles were developed for the delivery of desogestrel and ethinyl estradiol. The system enabled coordinated release of both drugs, suggesting its potential to improve dosing convenience as a long‐acting contraceptive platform.
