Invariant solutions of hydrodynamic-type equations

open access: yesJournal of Physics A: Mathematical and General, 2000
Summary: Conditions are established under which a system of hydrodynamic-type equations with time-dependent coefficients allows an infinite-dimensional group of hydrodynamic-type symmetries. When this group exists it is used to linearize and solve the original system.

Defining Roles in Pediatric Palliative Care: Perspectives From Oncology and Palliative Care Teams

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Early integration of pediatric palliative care (PPC) is associated with improved symptom management, quality of life, and healthcare utilization for children with cancer. Despite this, variation persists in how PPC is understood, operationalized, and integrated within pediatric oncology programs. In particular, ambiguity surrounding

Optimal System, Reductions, and Conservation Laws of a Nonlinear Damped Klein-Gordon- Fock Equation

open access: yesIEEE Access
A detailed Lie symmetry analysis of the nonlinear damped Klein-Gordon Fock equation: $u_{tt}\,+\alpha (u)\,u_{t}\,=\,u_{xx}\,+\,f(u)$ is addressed in this paper.

Quantization of time-dependent singular potential systems: Non-central potential in three dimensions

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2016
Quantum features of a dynamical system subjected to time-dependent non-central potentials are investigated. The entire potential of the system is composed of the inverse quadratic potential and the Coulomb potential. An invariant operator that enables us

Feasibility and Preliminary Efficacy of Integrative Neuromuscular Training for Childhood Cancer Survivors: A Pilot Study

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Survivors of childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) often exhibit early deficits in muscle and movement competence, which can compromise long‐term health. Integrative neuromuscular training (INT), a multifaceted approach combining fundamental movement activities with strength exercises, may help address these deficits during ...

Symmetric invariant manifolds in the Fermi-Pasta-Ulam lattice

open access: yes, 2002
The Fermi-Pasta-Ulam (FPU) lattice with periodic boundary conditions and $n$ particles admits a large group of discrete symmetries. The fixed point sets of these symmetries naturally form invariant symplectic manifolds that are investigated in this short

Enteropathogenic E. coli shows delayed attachment and host response in human jejunum organoid‐derived monolayers compared to HeLa cells

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Enteropathogenic E. coli (EPEC) infects the human intestinal epithelium, resulting in severe illness and diarrhoea. In this study, we compared the infection of cancer‐derived cell lines with human organoid‐derived models of the small intestine. We observed a delayed in attachment, inflammation and cell death on primary cells, indicating that host ...

Applications of the invariant subspace method on searching explicit solutions to certain special-type non-linear evolution equations

open access: yesFrontiers in Physics, 2023
We extend the invariant subspace method (ISM) to a class of Hamilton–Jacobi equations (HJEs) and a family of third-order time-fractional dispersive PDEs with the Caputo fractional derivative in this letter.

Invariant Connections and Yang-Mills Solutions [PDF]

open access: yesTransactions of the American Mathematical Society, 1981
A condition on the self-duality and the stability of Yang-Mills solutions are discussed. The canonical invariant G G -connections on S 4 {S^4} and P 2 ( C ...

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.
