Higher-order polynomial invariants of 3-manifolds giving lower bounds for the Thurston norm [PDF]
We define an infinite sequence of new invariants, δ n , of a group G that measure the size of the successive quotients of the derived series of G. In the case that G is the fundamental group of a 3-manifold, we obtain new 3-manifold invariants.

Algebraic linking numbers of knots in 3{manifolds [PDF]
Relative self-linking and linking \numbers" for pairs of oriented knots and 2{component links in oriented 3{manifolds are dened in terms of intersection invariants of immersed surfaces in 4{manifolds.

Stable concordance of knots in $3$–manifolds [PDF]
Knots and links in 3-manifolds are studied by applying intersection invariants to singular concordances. The resulting link invariants generalize the Arf invariant, the mod 2 Sato-Levine invariants, and Milnor's triple linking numbers.

S- and T-matrices for the super U (1,1) WZW model application to surgery and 3-manifolds invariants based on the Alexander-Conway polynomial [PDF]
We carry on (in a self-contained fashion) the study of the Alexander-Conway invariant from the quantum field theory point of view started earlier. We investigate for that purpose various aspects of WZW models on supergroups. We first discuss in details S

Unveiling the Taxonomic Diversity and Unprecedented Biosynthetic Treasure of the Phylum Myxococcota
Natural products remain vital sources of therapeutics, and the phylum Myxococcota constitutes an especially rich reservoir for them. Based on decades of microbiological efforts, we present 154 new Myxococcota genomes and revise taxonomy quadrupling the number of families and genera.

Symmetry‐Imposed Selection Rules for Excitations of Nontrivial Plasmonic Topologies
A unified group‐theory selection rule governs the excitation of vectorial nearfield topologies across three plasmonic spin states. Derived from first principles, it predicts spin–orbit vortex splitting and multidimensional nested vortices, confirmed by phase‐resolved in situ measurements.

ABSTRACT Ancient Olympia was one of the most important sanctuaries and the venue for the Olympic Games in Greek and Roman times. Its remains are located in the Olympia Terrace (Peloponnese, Greece) at the present‐day confluence of the rivers Alpheios and Kladeos at the base of Mount Kronos.

ABSTRACT Transformative change is required to address persistent and systemic drivers of biodiversity loss. There is an urgent need for innovative solutions that tackle root causes in place‐specific contexts. Evidence indicates that small, innovative, purpose‐driven businesses can serve as vehicles for developing place‐based solutions.

Heterovalent, Homometallic Rings: Synthesis, Optical, and EPR Studies of {TiIV7TiIII} Complexes
A new class of heterovalent, homometallic complexes is reported, based on cyclic {TiIV7TiIII} cores with oxide and carboxylate bridges between nearest neighbors. The clusters show Class II mixed‐valent behavior at room temperature, but are valence localized at low temperature.
