Inverse design of disordered stealthy hyperuniform spin chains
Positioned between crystalline solids and liquids, disordered many-particle systems which are stealthy and hyperuniform represent new states of matter that are endowed with novel physical and thermodynamic properties.

ABSTRACT Background Cyclophosphamide (CY) is associated with potentially fatal cardiotoxicity, yet no electrocardiographic indices have been established for early detection of CY‐induced cardiomyopathy. This study aimed to determine whether corrected QT interval (QTc) prolongation can predict early onset of CY‐related cardiac dysfunction in pediatric ...

Inverse-Designed Photonics for Semiconductor Foundries [PDF]
Silicon photonics is becoming a leading technology in photonics, displacing traditional fiber optic transceivers in long-haul and intra-data-center links and enabling new applications such as solid-state LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) and optical machine learning.

Crosstalk between the ribosome quality control‐associated E3 ubiquitin ligases LTN1 and RNF10
Loss of the E3 ligase LTN1, the ubiquitin‐like modifier UFM1, or the deubiquitinating enzyme UFSP2 disrupts endoplasmic reticulum–ribosome quality control (ER‐RQC), a pathway that removes stalled ribosomes and faulty proteins. This disruption may trigger a compensatory response to ER‐RQC defects, including increased expression of the E3 ligase RNF10 ...

Multidrug transporters BpeB and BpeF from the Gram‐negative pathogen Burkholderia pseudomallei have a hydrophilic patch in their substrate‐binding pocket. Drug susceptibility tests and growth curve analyses using an Escherichia coli recombinant expression system revealed that the hydrophilic patches of BpeB and BpeF are involved in the substrate ...

Diffusion Generative Inverse Design
Inverse design refers to the problem of optimizing the input of an objective function in order to enact a target outcome. For many real-world engineering problems, the objective function takes the form of a simulator that predicts how the system state will evolve over time, and the design challenge is to optimize the initial conditions that lead to a ...

Inverse design assisted coherent optical lattices
We explore the use of inverse design methods for the generation of periodic optical patterns in photonic integrated circuits. A carefully selected objective function based on the integer lattice method, which is an algebraic technique for optical lattice generation, is shown to be key for successful device design.
