Multisensor satellite data integration for sea surface wind speed and direction determination [PDF]

open access: yes
Techniques to integrate meteorological data from various satellite sensors to yield a global measure of sea surface wind speed and direction for input to the Navy's operational weather forecast models were investigated.

Generalized Formulation of Weighted Optimal Guidance Laws with Impact Angle Constraint

open access: yes, 2013
The purpose of this paper is to investigate the generalized formulation of weighted optimal guidance laws with impact angle constraint. From the generalized formulation, we explicitly find the feasible set of weighting functions that lead to analytical ...

Dual‐Programmable Architected Magnetic Soft Materials: Tuning Mechano–Electric Responses by Inverse Design

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Materials that can deform, sense, and autonomously generate power in response to wireless magnetic fields, through both magnetic‐actuated shape transformation and charge generation, are an emerging focus in advanced functional materials research.

Penentuan Jaringan Sumur Pantau Primer Dengan Metode Inverse Distance Weighting Di Cekungan Air Tanah Jakarta

open access: yesJurnal Sumber Daya Air, 2019
The increasing demand of raw water in DKI Jakarta has caused excessive groundwater abstraction. It causes the groundwater level drop to certain level and has emerged cone of depression in some areas.

Hybrid Information Retrieval Model For Web Images

open access: yes, 2012
The Bing Bang of the Internet in the early 90's increased dramatically the number of images being distributed and shared over the web. As a result, image information retrieval systems were developed to index and retrieve image files spread over the ...

Magnetothermal‐Triggered Response and Self‐Healing of Recyclable and Reprocessable Nanocomposites for Actuation Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Developing recyclable materials for magnetic robotics that combine rapid response and self‐healing properties is challenging. Hence, this study focuses on the integration of magnetothermal nanoparticles into a dynamic sorbitol‐based vitrimer, a recyclable composite capable of remote actuation and self‐healing by magnetic heating.

3D‐Printed Hygroscopic Polymer Networks for High‐Humidity Triboelectric Nanogenerators to Wirelessly Power Implantable Electronic Devices‐ A Conceptual Pathway

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work develops 3D‐printable tribopolymer networks that can enhance triboelectric performance under high humidity environments. Polar hydrophilic functional groups and incorporation of zwitterionic monomers promote bound‐water–dominated interfacial polarization thereby increasing electrical outputs.

Selenium‐Incorporated Polymerized Nonfullerene Acceptors/SWCNT Composites with Polymer‐Assisted n‐Doping for High‐Performance Organic Thermoelectrics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Selenium‐incorporated polymerized nonfullerene acceptor PCB2Se forms a strong supramolecular complex with SWCNTs, enabling a record‐high zT of 0.29. Sequential N‐DMBI doping, mediated through a polymer‐assisted electron‐transfer pathway, successfully converts the PCB2Se/SWCNT composite into an efficient n‐type material with an impressive power factor ...

Improvement of daily precipitation estimations using PRISM with inverse-distance weighting

open access: yesTheoretical and Applied Climatology, 2019
Improved daily precipitation estimations were attempted using the parameter-elevation regressions on a parameter-elevation regression on independent slopes model (PRISM) with inverse-distance weighting (IDW) and a precipitation-masking algorithm for ...
