This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

Integration host factor is required for the DNA inversion that controls phase variation in Escherichia coli. [PDF]
The on-and-off expression (phase variation) of type 1 fimbriae, encoded by fimA, in Escherichia coli is controlled by the inversion of a promoter-containing 314-base-pair DNA element. This element is flanked on each side by a 9-base-pair inverted, repeat sequence and requires closely linked genes for inversion.

Tumor B‐cell infiltration in platinum‐treated advanced muscle‐invasive urothelial carcinoma
Bladder tumors with higher pretreatment memory B‐cell infiltration were linked to longer survival after cisplatin chemotherapy, but not carboplatin. These tumors also showed more organized immune structures (tertiary lymphoid structures) and a shared pro‐inflammatory B‐cell‐rich community, suggesting that memory B cells may help identify patients most ...

Resolving soft X-ray photons with a high-rate hybrid pixel detector
Due to their high frame rates and dynamic range, large area coverage, and high signal-to-noise ratio, hybrid silicon pixel detectors are an established standard for photon science applications at X-ray energies between 2 keV and 20 keV.

Matched spatial transcriptomics and single‐nuclei RNA‐seq were generated for anaplastic and BRAFV600E papillary thyroid cancers revealing generic and tumor‐specific states occurring in cancer cells and in the tumor microenvironment. In this context, cancer dedifferentiation mirrored organoid maturation through ordered thyroid marker gain/loss ...

Cyclicity of a simple focus via the vanishing multiplicity of inverse integrating factors
First we provide new properties about the vanishing multiplicity of the inverse integrating factor of a planar analytic differential system at a focus. After we use this vanishing multiplicity for studying the cyclicity of some simple foci of several classes of planar analytic differential systems.

LUNAR is a liver‐specific long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) that is highly expressed in normal liver but becomes epigenetically silenced in hepatocellular carcinoma through promoter hypermethylation. Loss of LUNAR is associated with NOTCH activation, epithelial–mesenchymal transition, and metastasis, whereas restoring LUNAR restrains metastatic progression ...

Single‐cell DNA methylation (scDNAme) profiling maps epimutational clonal evolution, revealing mechanisms of malignancy and therapeutic resistance across diverse cancer types. By providing a high‐resolution landscape of intratumoral heterogeneity, these technologies empower precise patient stratification, guide the development of enhanced ...
