Comparative Analysis of Starlight Occultation Data Processing

open access: yesAtmosphere, 2023
In order to improve the inversion accuracy of stellar occultation data and to provide a reference for the selection of inversion methods with higher accuracy in the future, this study compared and analyzed the inversion effects of two different methods ...

Reconstructing enzyme evolution by protein engineering

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Natural enzyme evolution can be retraced by protein engineering methods such as directed evolution, rational design, and ancestral sequence reconstruction. These approaches reveal how enzymes emerged from ligand‐binding scaffolds, developed varying substrate preferences, formed oligomeric complexes, adapted to environmental changes, and evolved novel ...

Inversion of Sound Speed Profile Controlled by Sparse Observations: Research Background, Current Status and Technical Analysis

open access: yesOceans
The sound speed profile (SSP) is a core environmental parameter for underwater acoustic detection, navigation, communication, and other applications. However, its accurate acquisition is constrained by the sparsity of observational data and the ill-posed

The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Seismic Waveform Inversion Using the Finite-Difference Contrast Source Inversion Method

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2014
This paper extends the finite-difference contrast source inversion method to reconstruct the mass density for two-dimensional elastic wave inversion in the framework of the full-waveform inversion.

High-Resolution Seismic Characterization of Gas Hydrate Reservoir Using Wave-Equation-Based Inversion

open access: yesEnergies, 2022
The high-resolution seismic characterization of gas hydrate reservoirs plays an important role in the detection and exploration of gas hydrate. The conventional AVO (amplitude variation with offset) method is based on a linearized Zoeppritz equation and ...

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

AN INVERSE METHOD FOR PARAMETRIC TIMED AUTOMATA [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Foundations of Computer Science, 2008
We consider in this paper systems modeled by timed automata. The timing bounds involved in the action guards and location invariants of our timed automata are not constants, but parameters. Those parametric timed automata allow the modelling of various kinds of timed systems, e.g. communication protocols or asynchronous circuits.
