Nuclear pore links Fob1‐dependent rDNA damage relocation to lifespan control

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Damaged rDNA accumulates at a specific perinuclear interface that couples nucleolar escape with nuclear envelope association. Nuclear pores at this site help inhibit Fob1‐induced rDNA instability. This spatial organization of damage handling supports a functional link between nuclear architecture, rDNA stability, and replicative lifespan in yeast.

Screening and epitope characterization of Nidogen‐2‐specific nanobodies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Camel immunization and phage display were employed to generate high‐affinity VHH nanobodies against Nidogen‐2. After library construction, biopanning, ELISA screening, sequencing, and recombinant expression, selected nanobodies were purified and characterized, leading to the preliminary exploration of a nanobody‐based sandwich ELISA for specific ...

Comparison between flying capacitor and modular multilevel inverter

open access: yes, 2009
The paper describes the operational principle of flying capacitor and modular multilevel inverters. The detailed discussions of dc link capacitors voltage balancing methods for both inverters are given in order to enable fair comparison. The causes of dc

Single-phase transformerless unipolar switched inverters for utility-connected photovoltaic applications [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
[Abstract]: The disadvantages of using solar energy are its capital cost (which is about A$6/W), in comparison to that of conventional sources of energy (which is about A$1.80/W), and its conversion efficiency, which in commercially available ...

Molecular dynamics simulations of positively selected codons in FcγRI reveal novel biochemical binding properties

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Evolutionary analysis across 32 placental mammals identified positive selection at residues H148 and W149 in the immune receptor FcγR1. Ancestral reconstruction combined with molecular dynamics simulations reveals how these mutations may influence receptor structure and dynamics, providing insight into the evolution of antibody recognition and immune ...

Cascaded Multilevel Inverters Fault Control

open access: yes, 2011
This paper proposes a new control method to increase cascaded multilevel inverters (CMI) efficiency at faulty condition. The influence of most probability fault on CMI with carrier based pulse width modulation (CBPWM) is investigated and the maximum ...

On the characterization of the trapped charge in FG-CMOS inverters [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
In this work, an experimental comparison between measured FG CMOS inverters using the quasifloating gate (QFG) and layout-based (L-b) techniques for charge removal in the Floating-gate (FG) and simulations through PSpice is presented.
