Energy and economic performance of rooftop PV panels in the hot and dry climate of Iran [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Photovoltaic (PV) Panels, one of the more promising renewable energy technologies, are growing rapidly nowadays, especially in developed countries. However, these systems have not achieved public acceptance in some countries due to low energy efficiency ...

RIPK4 function interferes with melanoma cell adhesion and metastasis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
RIPK4 promotes melanoma growth and spread. RIPK4 levels increase as skin lesions progress to melanoma. CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated deletion of RIPK4 causes melanoma cells to form less compact spheroids, reduces their migratory and invasive abilities and limits tumour growth and dissemination in mouse models.

Improved plug–play SV with virtual inertia for enhancing the stability of high RES-penetrated grids

open access: yesIET Smart Grid, 2019
The synchronverter (SV) is currently one of the most promising grid-friendly inverters that mimic synchronous generators (SGs). Almost all the available SV use virtual current signal for synchronization, which require a complicated controller that lacks ...

A knowledge-based approach to VLSI-design in an open CAD-environment [PDF]

open access: yes, 1989
A knowledge-based approach is suggested to assist a designer in the increasingly complex task of generating VLSI-chips from abstract, high-level specifications of the system.

Evolutionary dynamics of the chloroplast genome in Daphne (Thymelaeaceae): comparative analysis with related genera and insights into phylogenetics

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Comparative analysis of chloroplast genomes from 14 genera of Thymelaeaceae revealed variation in gene content, ranging from 128 to 142 genes, primarily influenced by IR expansion/contraction events and pseudogenization of ndhF, ndhI, and ndhG. Two large inversions were detected within the large single‐copy region, including a synapomorphic inversion ...

Master–slave current regulation of an LCL-filter-based grid-connected inverter under variable grid condition

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, 2019
To ease the heavy burden of inverter control, including line current regulation, harmonic current suppression, filter resonance suppression, grid distortion suppression, phase locked loop etc., the study proposes a master–slave current regulation method ...

Design, Modelling and simulation of two-phase twostage electronic system with orthogonal output for supplying of two-phase asm [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
This paper deals with the two-stage two-phase electronic systems with orthogonal output voltages and currents - DC/AC/AC. Design of two-stage DC/AC/AC high frequency converter with two-phase orthogonal output using single-phase matrix converter is also ...

DDX3X induces mesenchymal transition of endothelial cells by disrupting BMPR2 signaling

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Elevated DDX3X expression led to downregulation of BMPR2, a key regulator of endothelial homeostasis and function. Our co‐immunoprecipitation assays further demonstrated a molecular interaction between DDX3X and BMPR2. Notably, DDX3X promoted lysosomal degradation of BMPR2, thereby impairing its downstream signaling and facilitating endothelial‐to ...

Additional reactive power control and emergency control of the ±1100 kV UHVDC system with a hierarchical connection mode

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, 2019
This paper proposes an additional reactive power control strategy and an emergency control strategy for ±1100 kV ultra-high voltage direct current (UHVDC) system with a hierarchical connection mode, in which the inverter station connect to two AC systems
