Nonlinear Dynamic Analysis of a Spur Gear Pair System with Wear Considering the Meshing Position

open access: yesLubricants
In this paper, a nonlinear dynamic model of a parallel shaft gear system consisting of two involute spur gears is developed to investigate the coupling effect between the gradual surface wear of gear teeth over time and nonlinear dynamic characteristics.

Factores geométricos para calcular a flexión engranajes cilíndricos rectos asimétricos con perfil evolvente - trocoide // Geometric factors for determining the bending strength of asymmetric spur gears with profile teeth involute-trochoid

Analysis of Energy Efficiency in Spur Gear Transmissions: Cycloidal Versus Involute Profiles

open access: yesMachines
The involute profile is used almost exclusively in the manufacturing of spur gears. Nevertheless, in machinery design, the evaluation of environmental factors, such as energy efficiency, has become increasingly important when choosing between feasible ...

Force analysis of involute spur gears

open access: yes, 1972
This study is devoted to the fundamental action which occurs between spur gears with involute tooth profiles when power is transmitted at a constant angular velocity ratio.

Analysis on inverse method for design parameters of involute spur gears with unilateral tooth profile wear

open access: yesJixie chuandong
ObjectiveThe failure of transmission gears in imported and aged equipment due to tooth flank wear often leads to premature scrapping of the entire machine, as original design data is frequently unavailable for repair or replacement. To address this issue,

Influence of Gear Geometry Factors on the Elastohydrodynamic Lubrication Properties of A Gear Transmission

open access: yesJixie chuandong, 1998
By considering the compressibility of the fluid and the effects of the contact ratio on tooth load, the thermal elastohydradynamic lubrication analysis for spur involute gears is given.A parametric study is conducted to investigate the effects of gear ...

Computerized Generation of Nonstandard and Asymmetric Involute Spur Gears Based on Rack Cutter Parametric Tracing

open access: yesJournal of Engineering
In the field of gear design, to apply any form of analysis (such as FEA, dynamic, and stress analyses), a delicate and accurate representation of the gear geometry is essential.

Design principle and modeling method of asymmetric involute internal helical gears

open access: yes, 2018
In the field of mechanical engineering, involute helical gears are widely used. Compared with the involute spur gear, helical gears have a high bearing strength, more smooth transmission, less impact and less noise.

Involute Spur Gear Template Development by Parametric Technique Using Computer Aided Design

open access: yes, 2009
There are many methods available for developing profiles of gear and spline teeth. Most of the techniques are inaccurate because they use only an approximation of the involute curve profile.
