Pigment Epithelium‐Derived Factor Deficiency Impairs Hippocampal Glutamate Homeostasis and Cognitive Function by Downregulating Astrocytic GLT‐1

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The chronic glutamate‐induced excitotoxicity hypothesis has profoundly informed the therapeutic strategies employed in Alzheimer’s disease (AD). This study shows pigment epithelium‐derived factor (PEDF) regulates astrocytic glutamate transporter‐1 (GLT‐1)‐mediated glutamate homeostasis and cognition. Reduced PEDF correlates with lower Mini‐Mental State

Single‐Cell Transcriptome Analysis Reveals That Hmga2 Regulates Neuroinflammation and Retinal Function by Modulating Müller Cell Autophagy Through PI3K/AKT Signaling Following MCAO‐Induced Retinal Ischemia

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Employing snRNA‐seq post‐MCAO‐induced retinal ischemia (RI), this study revealed a novel Hmga2‐high Müller cell subpopulation. Hmga2 knockout alleviated neuroinflammation and RI symptoms, potentially by binding PI3K and regulating Müller cell autophagy.

Phase‐Change Materials for Volatile Threshold Resistive Switching and Neuronal Device Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Volatile threshold switching materials are an important pathway to simulate neuronal behavior. This review summarizes recent advances in the development of volatile resistive switching devices and neuronal oscillators based on three representative phase change materials, emphasizes the major challenges in this rapidly evolving field, and provides an ...

Advanced Biomaterial Delivery of Hypoxia‐Conditioned Extracellular Vesicles (EVs) as a Therapeutic Platform for Traumatic Brain Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This research introduces a novel approach to enhance neuroregeneration following Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). Extracellular Vesicles (EVs) are isolated from human neural progenitor cells under hypoxic conditions, leading to enhanced expression of neurogenic and angiogenic factors.

Neoeriocitrin Targeting Beclin1 Deubiquitination and Autophagy in Osteogenic Differentiation of Human Dental Pulp Stem Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Neoeriocitrin enhances osteogenesis in hDPSCs and bone regeneration by targeting Beclin1 to inhibit ubiquitination‐mediated degradation, thereby stabilizing Beclin1 and increasing its protein abundance to activate autophagy. Abstract Human dental pulp stem cells (hDPSCs) are dental‐derived mesenchymal stem cells with robust multipotent differentiation ...
