Actinomycin Derivatives: Structural Diversification and Biological Activities

Actinomycins are chromopeptide antibiotics exhibiting remarkable structural diversity and broad bioactivity. This review traces their development from naturally occurring D‐, X‐, A‐, G‐, Y‐, and Z‐type analogs to precursor‐directed, synthetic, and semisynthetic derivatives.

Exploring the Chemical Space Around Protoflavonoids: Synthesis and Antitumor Activity of Protochalcones

Natural and synthetic protoflavonoids offer potent anticancer properties, but their chemical space remains largely unexplored. This study details the synthesis of eleven p‐hydroxydienone derivatives from chalcone precursors. We evaluated their antiproliferative effects across four human gynecological cancer cell lines.

Auto‐Click Synthesis of a Copper(I)–N‐Heterocyclic Carbene Porous Organic Polymer and Its Transmetalation to Palladium(II) for Azide–Alkyne Cycloaddition and Cross‐Coupling Reactions

An azide‐functionalized Cu(I)–NHC complex acts as both a monomer and a catalyst in an auto‐click polymerization, yielding a Cu(I)–NHC polymer that can be transmetalated to Pd(II). The two materials catalyze copper‐catalyzed azide–alkyne cycloaddition, C–N/C–O coupling, and Suzuki–Miyaura reactions, while copper reloading restores activity.

1‐(Acetylamino)thioxanthones and Derivatives: Synthesis From 1‐Halogenothioxanthones and Biological Properties

The conversion of 1‐halogenothioxanthones into 1‐(acetylamino) derivatives and their NaH‐mediated cyclization have been optimized. This rapid method yields thiochromeno[4,3,2‐de]quinol‐2‐ones that exhibit promising in vitro anticancer activity.
